Review
"The book is timely (up to date), well written, easy to understand, and it seems to hit the most important points of Texas Government. Its thickness is not overwhelming to students as are most American Government books, and the authors do not get bogged down in the micro details that would bore students. The authors seemed to have done a good job of winnowing the necessary facts of Texas Government from a lot of the chaff."
"...covered all the essentials with a smooth, easily understood writing style. This excellent book will really help our out-of-country students who find so much of this difficult on first encountering our system."
"...well-written, does a good job of covering what it claims to -- i.e., the essentials."
"(ESSENTIALS' greatest strength is its) overall get-to-the-point editorial style that I'm sure sits well with students and instructors alike."
