As a thyroid cancer patient, on a mission to educate myself, I find this book extremely helpful. Many doctors do not hesitate to tell their thyroid cancer patients that thyroid cancer is "the best cancer to have." I hear what the doctors are saying, but with this book I learn how to respect thyroid cancer. It can help to empower me to better take care of myself, and give me further understanding into my own treatment.

This book has also been a great resource for my thyroid cancer support forums ([...]) as it covers all four types of thyroid cancer and their treatments. This book is a *must* for any thyroid cancer patient who needs to understand their condition further; who has metastases or a recurrence; or who is suffering from one of the more aggressive forms of thyroid cancer.

Dr Amdur makes the management of thyroid cancer straight forward and simple. He is an excellent teacher and lecturer and this textbook reflects his ability make complex topics easy to understand. I give this text my highest recommendation.
