Excellent Resource, July 22, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Essentials of Veterinary Hematology (Hardcover)
This is an excellent resource for clinical pathology and hematology. Unlike the encyclopedic Schalm's Veterinary Hematology, this book is a condensed, handy, affordable and up to date reference to the interpretation of hematology in the context of health in various (mostly domestic) species. It is excellent for students familiarizing themselves, or for clinicians needing a quick interpretation. It has excellent pictures and is well indexed. The most useful sections are those on reference values of numerous species, and interpretation of variouis morphologies. The book is mainly a mammal oriented book, and those needing avian or reptilian interpretation, should look elsewhere (or write their own reference).
