5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need to know (no confusing details), June 1, 2000

This review is from: Essentials of Veterinary Microbiology (Paperback)
It an excellent book for all veterinary medicine students as well as DVM.The style is very simple which is important for every book of such nature( in other words you don't have to read it again and again just to understand what authors wanted to say).Bacteria chapter is specially well written although Fungi and Introductory virology don't lack far behind.Speaking as veterinary medicine student I would like to see more photos. As students usually listen to Infectious diseases after microbiology it wouldn't be bad to put a photo of animal having certain disease so students can connect the two(microorganism and the disease)more easily.Pathogenesis is described for every microorganism but at this level students don't always understand it completely. Although it's not extremelly detailed it containts everything from morphology, immunity, serology, treatment, disease, identification etc. If you don't plan to specialize microbiology it's everything you need to know.
