This movie is based on the same title novel by Jorge Ibarguengoitia. In the novel the name of the town was changed, the actual location was Guanajuato and the movie was filmed in this city. Great movie, I loved the casting and they mantained faithfullness to the original novel, although the ending was somewhat different. This is probably due to the novel itself having a different ending on the first and second editions.
I do recommend it if you like mexican cinema or ir you are a fan of Jorge Ibarguengoitia.

Film is faithful in spirit to Guanajuato-set erotic farce and playful putdown of novel author Jorge Ibarguengoitia's native soil. Fine acting, both beautiful and weird locals, a surprise per minute. Pedro Armendariz Jr is the "promising young suitor" who ends ups with egg on his face.
