About the Author

Thomas J. Lucier is the President and CEO of Home Equities Corp, a privately held Florida Corporation established in 1995, that specializes in the purchase, fast-turnaround and resale of small residential rental properties in the Tampa Bay Area.

Mr. Lucier has owned residential and commercial rental property in the Tampa Bay Area since 1980, when he bought his first two rental houses while stationed in the Federal Republic of Germany with the United States Army.

Tom holds an active Florida Mortgage Broker License.

No "Johnny-come-lately" to the real estate investment information and advice business, Tom is the author of How To Buy Used And Bruised Houses For Fast Profits, The Smart Investor's Guide To Distressed Property and How to Make Money Buying Pre-Foreclosure Properties Before They Hit The County Courthouse Steps.

Mr. Lucier was the editor and publisher of Distressed Property Investor's Monthly, an eight-page newsletter that focused on the purchase, turnaround and resale of distressed property. Distressed Property Investor's Monthly later became a monthly feature in Creative Real Estate Magazine, where Tom was an associate editor.

In the early 1990s, Tom's weekly real estate investment advice column, Tricks Of The Trade, ran in newspapers in Philadelphia, Seattle, Charlotte, San Francisco, Cleveland, Oakland, Jacksonville, San Diego and Los Angeles.

Tom is an active member of the National Association Of Real Estate Editors.

Tom is also a member of the Real Estate Educators Association.

Mr. Lucier graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

This is a super book for investors that are looking for a truly profitable but underutilized technique that almost all real estate investors overlook. That is, creating a straight option to buy real estate from a seller, and then turning around and selling that option to an end buyer for a profit. The book talks about making money by controlling properties, not owning them, through real estate options. This is a brilliant idea that I know my competitors know nothing about. This is the ultimate tool in your real estate investment tool chest. I wish I read this book before I did my first option agreement. I would have avoided some of the mistakes that I made. But even with the mistakes, I still made a tidy profit. So I know it works. I found at least 10 new ideas that I will incorporate into my future real estate option deals. If you are or plan to be a serious real estate investor, you need to have this book in your library. I highly recommend this book.
