I live in a tropical country and am in the sun a lot, so my dermatologist recommended a sunscreen on my face to prevent sun spots, wrinkling etc. Of course as a result my face was always oily and sticky. I searched for two years to find something that would tame the oilyness and finally found Estee Lauder Clear Difference. I put on my sunscreen then apply Estee over it. It works wonders! What a great product! It keeps my face matte and cool all day in this 80 to 90 degree heat! I recommend this product to everyone! Love it! Go for it!

I am fifteen years old and have had extremely oily skin since I was about ten. Ever since Jr. High I've worn makeup to hide my atrocious acne problem, but in the process making my oily face even more noticeable. I heard rave reviews about this product and so thought I'd give it a try. I began using it about a month ago, not expecting much. I came to find that when putting makeup on top of this "moisturizer," persay, it was only a couple of hours until I had a layer of oil on my face and had to blot and re-powder, like always. However, this may be due to the hot climate of Texas, where I live.
Although when used under mineral makeup my skin doesn't do so well, on those few occasions when I'm not wearing makeup, I'm oil-free almost all day with this product on. I use this product at night as well and have been noticing a considerable difference in my acne. This product does pretty well at reducing the size of pimples, as well as redness.
Like I said, the ONLY problem I have with this product is that it's just like any other moisturizer under makeup. Oh, and I don't think it has SPF, which would have been an awesome bonus. But other than those, if you aren't in too desperate need of makeup and UVA/UVB protection, go for it. And I guess if you do need foundation, you could do what I do and put on some that has SPF built in it, so as to be moderately protected from harmful rays :)
