This rocket takes a little practice to get the optimum packing down pat, but it performs as advertised. I'd consider lengthening the elastic shock cord with some Kevlar, but that's the only change I'd suggest. This is usually a favorite of any kids you happen to be launching with. Seeing the nose cone helicopter in always gets them into the recovery mood, and they'll chase it across the field en masse, leaving you to recover the parachute equipped body at your leisure.

VERY cool and fun rocket. The helicopter nose cone is very cool on decent. Not a very challenging model to build - I did it in about 10 minutes with super glue. Be sure to pack the parachute in between the blades of helicopter blades - it will work almost flawless. I recommend this one.

This is a great rocket for a beginner or new person to the world of model rockets. it's a good sized rocket and is easy to build. No messing around trying to build an engine mount. And gluing balsa wood fins on a rocket can be a challenge for a beginner. This rocket has a 1-piece plastic fin piece which takes all the hassle out of building. So, easy way to get started and get launching. Also, because of the plastic it is very durable. No worries about breaking fins on landing.
It comes with the added nose cone helicopter which I like a lot. It just makes the rocket do something a little extra special. This means that once it is launched you have to fetch two parts: the rocket tube and the nose cone. But to me and the kids fetching the rocket is part of the fun.
Nice place to start in rocketry -going to give a positive experience both in building and in launching.
