It has a streamer rather than a parachute which is a good thing because of the height it attains. With a parachute it could very well sail off quite a distance from your launch zone.
I like the solid fin system. They are stronger than normal. I found the recommended painting scheme to be a bit too much, even though I did it by the suggested way. You might just want to spray paint the whole thing one solid color.
Nice little rocket, cheap and fast.
Remember that this is just a rocket. You still have to purchase engines, wadding and a launcher if you are just starting out in the hobby.
So far, we've launched it a dozen times. On an Estes A-8-3 engine, the rocket flies almost out of sight. Often times we can only track it by the trail of smoke. The streamer recovery is adequate; except for some black scuffs and one chip in the paint, the rocket is in the same condition it was when it was first built. It is simple to set up, cheap to fly and pretty durable. We've definitely got our money's worth out of it!
Winds were calm. 30 mins spent on a recovery, to no avail. Kids now hooked on rocketry.
For construction I found that CA super glue, the type that dries in 5 seconds, works very well when attaching the fins. Just make sure that you place them carefully and right away and then hold. A few seconds later they are bonded for sure. When setting up the engine holder or rights that go inside the tube, be careful because sliding things into the tube is really tough. Once they get stuck they will seize up. Meaning that the glue set and the part will stay right where it is.

Simple to build and flew great for a beginner rocket. Great project for my 5 year old daughter and I. You can't beat the price either. Highly recommended.Published 27 days ago by Kevin E Farrelly
I know what I ordered, but I felt that the fins were too thin. I think I should have ordered something more expensive to have been more happy with it.Published 1 month ago by Gregory Hans
For some reason... with how high this one flies, I thought it would be bigger? Hmmmmmmm We will have fun with it though.Published 2 months ago by Timothy J. Watkins
