Teaching Sunday school was supposed to help Esther "Essie" Walker understand boys so she can raise her son properly. Fat chance, as she meets the eight-year-old male psyche, made up of awful jokes, disrespectful behavior, and general mayhem.

What a fun book!,

This Christian Chick-Lit book is very true-to-life; Essie faces the very real stressors related to marriage, a baby, and (my greatest fear!) teaching Sunday School. Her struggle to make a decision regarding going back to work is one that is familiar to me, as are her struggles with a newborn baby and finances.I especially enjoyed this book because it is realistic and does NOT give the impression that "living a Christian life makes everything 'perfect.'" Essie faces the struggles we all do, and with Christ as her foundation, gets through them--not easily or magically, but she gets through. Another book by Allie Pleiter, "Bad Heiress Day" is on my bedside table and I'm excited to start it!

Very cute and easy read. Great fast Christian book. Favorite Part: Part where Ester is trying to teach her Sunday School class about miracles and ends up getting into a discussion on weather Jesus Christ does or does not have x-ray vision with a bunch of superhero loving 2nd grade boys. I can understand where she is coming from as I am a teacher and sometimes have the weirdest questions asked of me as well!

Not worth it,
By Libby "ChristianBookAddict" (TheLandofManyPotatoes) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Queen Esther & the Second Graders of Doom (Life, Faith & Getting It Right #10) (Steeple Hill Cafe) (Paperback)
Once again a book by Pleiter that is chock full of typos and is poorly written. There is even a mispelled word (here instead of hear). I don't understand how her books get published without proper proofreading. The attempts at humor in this book are poor as well.If you want good Christian Chick-Lit try Denise Hildreth, Tracey Bateman, Laura Jensen Walker or Trish Perry instead.
