Yolanda Pérez dropped this album in 2005 through Fonovisa (Univision), and I picked up a copy because I liked the previous year's album Aqui Me Tienes.

If you like traditional Banda from Sinaloa, this album won't entirely be for you. Three of the songs on the album use Reggaeton beats, and other a few other tracks have more an urban feel to them. The most upbeat song on the album is the Reggaeton-Banda fusion "Como Quieras, Cuando Quieras" featuring Adassa.

I'm not a huge fan of Banda, so her fusion sound makes this a more interesting album for me. The only let down is that she doesn't do more R&B and Pop music like the single "Aqui Me Tienes." Otherwise, Yolanda is a great singer, not to mention extremely beautiful. If you like Banda and Reggaeton both, Esto es Amor is a good CD to own.
