I have used this for extensive demolition of a bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen and utility room, primarily to take out walls and tear up old, rotten flooring. I have become so used to it that I can use it to nail trim and not leave a mark on anything.
Many people that complain about not using this or heavier really needs to practice and get used to it before going to work with it. It is a great companion that will last a lifetime.
If you need a hammer that can do heavy demolition, yet can help rebuild, this is a great hammer. If you need a hammer for basic work around the house, I recommend the 16 oz hammer.
