I bought this transfer board for my elderly father. My parents live in Europe, thus, their tubs are slightly different, but generally have "regular" width as tubs here. The fit was perfect and adjustable end-stops made it feel very secure without scratching the surface. It's very sturdy and easily held up not only to my dad but also to my husband and I together while we were testing it. I was concerned that water would be splashing over since it does not sit below the surface like some boards, but rather on it; however, it performed excellently and there was no splashing or spilling. It has sufficient amount of slits, so water does not collect on the surface. My dad loves it - it's not only convenient to use while showering, but he also uses it to get into the tub safely by sitting on it first and then swinging his legs over (their tub is quite tall). Another great feature is lack of metal parts - no rust and a very easy clean up. I never thought that I can be exited about a shower board :) but I am very happy with it's quality and functionality.

This board worked very well on our tub. Some easy minor assembly is required (installing handle and feet).

I got this bench for my 90 yr. old Mom after being hospitalized for a fall. She has an old high-sided claw-foot tub and I could not find a chair-type bath transfer seat that would fit. This goes across the top rim of the tub.Standing with your back towards the side edge of the tub you can sit onto the seat before raising your legs over the high sides of the tub. There is no balancing on one foot while lifting the other. She can then center herself and sit for a shower/bath with a hand-held shower hose. The bench works very well for her. It seems sturdy & safe; easy to assemble & adjust;easy to clean. It makes it much easier to bathe not having to raise or lower yourself into/out of the tub. The price here, is also great !.
