Yes, the adjustable thumb rest makes the difference.... I would never thought about it, but it make it easier on the hand for the long run.... good precision for pointer and easy to operate. It has nice glowing led indicator that actually changing the color depend what DPI you select, but it can be a little annoying because the LED goes on and off slow all the time while mouse is connected.
The mouse has regular two buttons and wheel on the top, two additional buttons on the thumb rest, those are not very comfortable to operate, but I think there isn't mouse exist with comfortable side buttons, at least on this mouse they are small and flat.
Mouse has 2 buttons on top: One is for changing DPI , another one to bring the pointer to the middle of the screen no matter where it is, personally I think this button useless in some extend, because making the whole button for one function and do not give the option to customize it.... well it doesn't make the option to customize it, well, some extra button anyway...
The mouse is wide and big, so I do not think it would be a good fit for person with small hands. I wish they would make this mouse little more angled, and then it would be PERFECT for the natural angle of the hand when you holding the mouse... anyway I went through many different computer mice and I think this is the mouse that I will use from now on.

This mouse feels like you are wrapping your hands around in a glove. I'm a computer programmer and I discovered that I pick the mouse up quite a bit when I move the mouse around the screen. If I'm not careful how I use my mouse and keyboard, my wrists hurt at the end of the day. This isn't the type of mouse you need to pick up because of its ergonomic design. Instead you learn to use the little button under your middle knuckle that centers the mouse. This eliminates the need to pick up the mouse when it reaches the limit of the desk and allows you to position the mouse anywhere on the desk and then center the cursor. I also have large hands and this mouse expanded to fit my hand perfectly.
Pros:
- Ergonomic design fits fingers in grooves to make the mouse feel like a glove
- Mouse expands near the thumb for a more comfortable feel
- Button on top centers the mouse in the screen
- All of the buttons can have their default function changed
- Lighted thumb rest changes color to indicate the DPI, which can be changed with a button on the top of the mouse.
- The carbon fiber look is nice looking, without the cost.
- Inexpensive for what it does.
Cons:
- The drivers came on a mini CD and not all computers can accept mini CDs. It worked on my desktop computer but my laptop uses a slot load cdrom and didn't accept the mini CD.

I am handicapped and use my 50 inch TV monitor also as my Computer monitor.I sit 10ft away from my computer tower.
Range and dpi are vital at this distance.I have bought every mouse in the market from most expensive to mid level because of this.To this day I found Logitech to be the best.Microsoft is OK but tends to react with other frequencies making it "skip".
Now this mouse is Solid, DPI change with a click, smooth action and range unmatched.
This one I have to say has impressed me the most, because i had given up on finding one that could perform at 15ft solid and all the time.
All good mouse claim to work at 33 ft,i have found that its more like 8 to 10 ft.
This mouse also feels great and glides effortless on the surface.
I am so Impressed that it is now my "FLAG SHIP MOUSE"
TRY ONE YOU WONT REGRET IT.
SIMPLY A WINNER ALL THE WAY.
AT THIS PRICE A BARGAIN .

I am a Logitech guy in regards to a daily mouse and for gaming I am Razor guy. However, I needed an extra mouse for occasional gaming on one of my extra computers but didn't have the budget to spend on a high end. I saw this one and for the price I gave it a try. I looked good and promising. When I got it I was kind of reluctant because it seemed to be made of cheap plastic and had a unconvincing glossy black paint. Yet, I was more interested in its purpose, It worked immediately on a Win 7 64 bits with no need for drivers and delivers a game play as good as my expensive Razor mouse. It is cheap, it could break at the first drop from a high counter, but you can look at it as a simple and delicate mouse that will do your gaming at an excellent price. How long will it last, I have no idea but it seems like a good contender. Very responsive and maintains connection as well.

If you have larger hands than average, if you usually find yourself pinching your hand into an uncomfortable claw to get a grip on other mice, if you even just want to try a big mouse to see if your tiny hands can fit on it for a laugh, BUY THIS MOUSE RIGHT NOW. GET IT. It is the first mouse I have ever found that felt like it was actually designed to fit my fair-sized hands.

If your hands are average or below-average size, however, you might have a couple little minor issues that detract from an otherwise excellent mouse. Folks with hands like mine don't get a huge amount of choice in the matter, though.

+Solid tracking, precision, and multiple DPI settings make for a good gaming mouse.
+Adjustable thumb rest has 3 settings that are significantly different, and the rest for your other fingers on the far side of the mouse is nothing short of genius.
+Enough buttons for most folks to get along with, and comfortable even outside of gaming.
+Software to adjust button mapping and DPI settings to your liking.

-Pulsating light. Not an issue for most folks, but it makes determining what your DPI is at a bit of a pain when it spends half the time off. An option for a solid light would be nice, but doesn't seem to be available.
-'Cursor-centering' button is useless, and in a hard-to-reach place. At least it's not easy to hit accidentally.
-Software was a little tricky to track down online, and didn't have the option I was hoping for (solid light!) but otherwise fully-featured.

Frankly, at this price point, I'd be willing to accept a lot more issues than those. The mere fact that it's a functional gaming mouse would be enough, but then they have to go and make it big and comfortable to use, too! Crazy. I've only had it a day now, so there's no telling how long it will last, but I wouldn't be averse to buying it again and again, considering how much I've payed for Logitech mice in the past that were far less comfortable.
