You Will Be Amazed!, October 14, 2003
This review is from: Eternal Flame (Audio CD)
Well first thing first, this is a cover of "The Bangles" 1989 hit "Eternal Flame" and before you go - Oh No! What Have They Done?!? - they have made a contrast to the original. They have not made a copy of the original (Like what Westlife do and fail at) they have made a more up-to-date version of the classic hit which has since rocketed to Number One! I was never a fan of the girls and could barely even hum a line of one of there songs and they changed that for me when i saw them perform this track at the 2001 "Party In The Park" which was held in Hyde Park. They did a terrific dance routine to the track and showed off it sfull potential! Anyways heres a tracklistings guide to help you with your choice:
01. ETERNAL FLAME - This is the radio edit, not the album version which is slower and a bit too much like the "Bangles" version! This has added vocals from the other members besides Natasha and really showcases Jennys unique voice - its not the best in the world but there is something to it that makes it special! And for the 2 final choruses? you will be pressing "Rewind" on your hifi as soon as its over as the girls have some beautiful harmonys on the track - especially when Liz is singing "Give Me Your Hand!!!" near the end.
02. ALBUM MEDLEY - Well this is here if you are still debating whether to buy the album, it opens with the european single "You Are" which is also a slower version to the radio edit and has different vocal arrangements, and than it flips into the huge hit Whole Again, followed by the fantastic and sexy hit "Turn Me On", "Bye Now" and the gorgeous "Cradle". At the end of this medley you will be guarantted to be heading for this website to purchase the album!
03. ETERNAL FLAME (BLACKSMITH RERUB) - This is the full r,n,b remix of the title track which has the added rapping of the blacksmith crew and has different arrangements of the lyrics and can get slightly annoying if you really love the radio edit! Might be good minus the rapping and the different arangements!
04. ETERNAL FLAME (VIDEO) - Another good reason to buy the cd, the stunning video which features all 3 girls lying on glass sheeting and looking absolutely gorgeous - look out for Jens nipple popping out near the end of the video! Surprised they didnt cut that out!
Well over all its worth the money and i have since bought another copy incase anything happens to my other one and i would also recommend the albums "Right Now", "Feels So Good" and the latest "Ladies Night". This is the real deal! Check it out!

One of AK's best singles!, July 5, 2003
This review is from: Eternal Flame (Audio CD)
How can anyone not like this ballad from Atomic Kitten? It is so fantastic! It is a cover of a Bangles classic from years ago, and they redo it so well. Natasha has such a great voice! My rundown of the tracks:
1. Radio Edit
This is the shorter version you hear on the radio, the one on the album is more bland then this. This version is clearer and better. All 3 girls sound good, and Tash sounds excellent at the end. 5/5
2. Album Medley
This is a mix of loads of songs from AK's debut album "Right Now". 5/5
3. Blacksmith R&B
This version of "Eternal Flame" features rapping and the vocals are kind of drowned out by the music. But it's still good. 4/5
4. Video With Photo Gallery
You also get the video of "Eternal Flame" which features the girls on a dark background in gorgeous white outfits singing the song. Very nice photo gallery too! 5/5
Overall, a good single. This is a #1 hit single, and if you like pop music, you need this in your collection. :)
