Excellent CD. Excellent project for a group of talented young women. These ladies have proven that their vocal skills are flexible through the various songs on this CD. My personal favorite is Eternal Flame. Pay close attention to the harmony in the background. You will love this CD>>> Please buy it

Between The Bangles and the Go Go's, I would have to say The Bangles have a slighter edge over the Go Go's as far which band is my favorite. Both are awesome bands to say the very least. As much as I love the singles that were released on radio and MTV back in the '80s, I always believed that the band's strongest material were songs that weren't released as singles and/or sung by the Peterson sisters and Michael Steele. Not to take anything away from Susanna Hoffs, I loved listening to her sing lead on their version of the Grassroots' "Where Were You When I Needed You", "If She Knew What She Wants", and "I'll Set You Free". Unfortunately I always felt that her presence in the band overlooked the other talent from her bandmates. Vicky and Debbie Peterson and bassist Michael Steele sang lead on songs I felt showcased The Bangles' penchant for pop melodies. Most of my favorite Bangles songs came off "Everything" and "Different Light". I absolutely love "Some Dreams Come True" and "Glitter Years". The reason I bought this cd was to get listen to those songs on cd since I don't listen to cassettes anymore. I do wish that "Crash and Burn" was included on this collection. That is definitely my favorite song sung by Vicky Peterson. "Eternal Flame" is a great added collection to go next to the band's "Greatest Hits" I think.

NOT GOOD,

The Bangles' poor remake of Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter" is embarrassing. It is harsh, discordant and downright painful to endure. The only good song is "Walking Down Your Street," but even this one song doesn't justify buying this collection.
