Book Description

A place where vampires rule, witches play, danger lurks and dreams really do come true.

Eternal Island is a paranormal suspense novel, deeply rooted into myth. Vampires and magic form a unique backdrop to a love story with long reaching consequences. Human girl Ariana Lochalan finds herself transported from the relative calm of her ‘Nowhere, Arkansas’ life into a diametrically opposite existence when she discovers she is a powerful witch and meant to wed High Vampire of Eternal Island, Abe Cambridge. Despite first-sight magnetism, the two protagonists are being pushed apart, obstacles tripping them at every step, outside forces interfering and threatening their peace, and ultimately their lives. A world rich in magic and intrigue, Eternal Island is the first instalment of a saga which has love at its core and delves through the mire that is human nature in a turmoil of feeling and emotion.

Would courage, resilience and love be enough to bring together two soul mates?

How much would you sacrifice to save the one who owns your heart?

About the Author

Kristie Haigwood is currently writing her 7th novel, Hell's Gift. It's the sequel to her first published novel, Save My Soul. She loves anything to do with the written word, whether it be writing, reading, poetry or even the directions on how to put some toy together for her little girl. She loves sarcasm. If it didn't exist she would be the one to invent it. She is the mother of a 7 year old girl, 16 year old step son (both great kids), 2 awesome dogs & married to her soulmate, who acts no older than 4 and thinks reading without pictures is a solid waste of time. Ella Medler is an author and playwright who lives in Cornwall, UK. She likes to experiment with different genres and is passionate about the human nature. Her works include the satire Martin Little, Resurrected, and the action thriller Blood is Heavier, both part of a series. Blood is Power is due for release in December 2012, and Martin Little Takes Epic Action, in spring 2013.

5.0 out of 5 stars packing to move here now! January 17, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Okay that is it, I decided I want to live on this island. I mean seriously they get to live on a tropical island that no one can find and shop, live, love and eat like royalty. They do not really pay for anything so the money they earn is fun money. I would totally live out my last days there.

I loved this book not only because it fell right into the middle of the genre I love to read but because I felt like I could step right into the page and stand facing every dilemma the well rounded characters were up against. The only character that left me going "huh?" was the second in command Max. I think he was spelled into being the way he was at the end but I cannot be sure because we did not find much out about him other than he was married to someone he did not love and having an affair with the villain who did not love him and that he was second to the High Vampire or Vampire King.

Our leading lady started out as a normal human that was in a catatonic state of some sort and is awoken and whisked away to a different destiny. The story moves the main characters through one twist after another and the love story thickens along with the espionage. I loved every aspect of this book and I even read the sneak peek at the end for the next book. Now I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

I rated this 5 out of 5!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Book December 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a very well written, well thought out, brilliant story. The authors did an amazing job of bring characters to life that the reader cared about right from the start. The story picks up from the very first chapter and just keeps going from there without pause. There is action, romance, humor, horror, you name it and you will find it in this book. I wasn't sure if it would be something I would enjoy when I first picked it up but the cover was so beautiful I had to get it anyway (yes, I did indeed judge a book by its cover). I'm so glad that I did because it was well worth it. I loved it!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes books with a great storyline, very likeable characters, and those who just plainly like well written books. The books also really set up the next book in the series so well that I want to read it right this very second! I hope that the authors plan to write many more books about the island and these characters because I don't think I will ever get enough of them. Excellent, well written book that I will recommend over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story, loved it!! October 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I was super excited when offered to be a Beta reader on this book in exchange for an honest review.. The storyline captivated me from the beginning. We start with Arianna, who due to a recent tragedy, is in a medically induced comma. On the other side of the world, Rainey has a vision of Abe's (the high vampire of eternal island) soulmate, Arianna ofcourse. Abe's never been in love, and his soulmate a human, not a vampes? Needless to say Raineys adventure in bringing Arianna to the island, watching the connection between Abe & Arianna, the friendship between Abe & Rainey, well it was just put together perfectly. There are many quite funny moments, there is love, passion, drama, mystery, well just everything you need in a great book. Great job ladies, super excited for Raineys story in book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant kind of torment December 6, 2012
By mr dead
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a very creative story. I say creative in that the question posed here is do you know the world in which you live? And the book suggests that there very well might be alot we dont know about. The Eternal island is hidden from the outside world and those who would do the residents harm but it is different from the outside world in that witches and vampires live together.
The beginning is going to be remembered as one of my most favourite ever and it is a point i need to make in this review. Someone turns up at a mental hospital and says ok come with me to a secret island (im paraphrasing), with a room and free food. And it goes on from there with a great story line laced with a subtle humour. I think thats what sold it for me. Once you latch onto the type of humour the author has, it adds another dimension of entertainment from the book.
About the title of this review, i read the whole thing waiting to find out more about the cave and there was nothing more about it. Now i see there is a book two and i want to know what is in the cave. For anyone who does read this and has that kind of mentality where you have to know, be warned, you read book one and now you will need to read book two. But then this is a five star review so im not saying thats a bad thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative & New Twist on Paranormal Romance! November 27, 2012
By kgkdh
Format:Kindle Edition
*I was given this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

The story begins with Arianna, a woman who's in a coma after suffering the loss of her husband. Rainey, a consultant witch, to Abe, the King of Eternal Island, informs the king that his true love is alive and on the mainland. Rainey brings Arianna to Eternal Island where Arianna and Abe embark on an adventure. In the process, Arianna discovers her newfound powers and learns to love again.

What I love about this book is the creative imagination of the authors and the fresh take on vampires and witches. I also love the secondary characters which brought depth and intrigue into the story as well. Rainey is a great character and I am looking forward to her story.

If you love paranormal romance and are looking for a new twist on hot vamps and witches, this book is a must read!
