Uhh....not quite live.....,

First things first...if you want a true and proper representation of what this band sounds like live, FORGET this and pick up "Stick It Live", the EP released after the first studio album, recorded while they toured with Kiss in the grand summer of 1990. THAT is "live" in every sense of the word! Giant arena sound, cannon-fire drums, guitars that sound like guitars, not processed studio overdubs that permeate "Eternal Live". For a tribute to Tim, they could have done infinitely better than this patchwork hodgepodge of whatever. "Mad About You" is simply the studio version with generic crowd noise dubbed in. It's ridiculous. Any of you have the two albums, listen and compare. It's not a live performance. The only two tracks that sound 100% live are Up All Night and Fly to the Angels, and they were probably lifted from the EP because they sound identical. That earns one star from me and the second star is for "Rock the World", again sounds overdubbed but....
1)this is the only place this song is available 2)it's a really good tune, generic crowd noise or not

I am sitting here writing this on the day after the anniversary of the passing of one of the best guitarists the world has ever known. 6 yr.s ago yesterday (Feb 5, 2004) the world and music fans everywhere lost a great musician Timothy Patrick Kelly. This c.d. is a great tribute to him. It also includes an enhanced feature which has a few live performances as well as a touching tribute to Kelly with the song Fly To The Angels. I have been and always will be a true fan of Slaughter. R.I.P. Timothy Patrick Kelly.

I love this album. Slaughter is an excellent live band. I recommend this album and the live show itself. Slaughter is a great band, and i can always count on having a good time at the show. This album is a reminder of that, and a wonderful tribute to Tim Kelly who slaughter fans will miss always!

Great Live Album, A Nice Tribute to Tim Kelly,
By
This review is from: Eternal Live (Audio CD)
Slaughter's first full-length live album, "Eternal Live", is a great live album and a nice tribute to late Slaughter guitarist Tim Kelly, who played lead guitar on this album and died an unfortunate death in a car accident three months before this album was released. If you think Slaughter's songs sound good in studio, you should hear them performed live. They sound amazing on this album, and this is the second best live album ever released, first being the 1975 KISS album "Alive". The tracks that sound the best performed live on this album are "The Wild Life", "Shout it Out", "Rock the World", "Up All Night", and "Searchin'". Also, I like the 80's feel of "Searchin'" when it is performed live. A message to all Slaughter fans: This is the album we have been waiting for.

This is the LIVE Slaughter album we've been waiting for! Captures the live essence of a Slaughter show. It should have been a double album.

Out of all the tracks on this CD, maybe 3 are truly live. ( )Slaughter is actually prtty good live. Why didn't they do a real livealbum? "Shout It Out" is just ridiculous. Blas is a good drummer, but he can't play the beat he is playing, and play a tamborine into a mic at the same time. And I don't think Mark is playing it. And the crowd that sounds like 8,000 people shouting their name; c'mon guys. Slaughter usually plays clubs now. Be honest. Look at Dio's live album. It sounds like it was recorded in a small theater or a club. If you truly like live albums that sound real, leave this one behind. END
