I am very pleased with this book. It fully outlines chapter by chapter the aging and disease processes one can expect in their aging "puppy" and how to personally care for and when to seek treatment for their dog's ailments. Years ago, previous to my now-11-year-old dog, I had another dog that I very unfortunately learned a couple months too late that he had been suffering and in pain (with cancer). Apparently dogs hide much of their physical pain, but there are signs one can watch for to alleviate needless suffering. I have always regretted my lack of knowledge at the time and wanted to avoid that ever again with another dog I would own in the future. This book is an excellent resource and I would highly recommend it!
