What's better than a sexy vampire? A sexy vampire with an accent! I hate to say it but, Lucian Roman now has to share the top spot on my "Vampire Hunks" with Synjon Wise. Leave it to me to have the hots for two vampires who have an antagonistic relationship with one another. Eternal Sin has a lot going on but never once does it lose a reader, especially a super fan like myself. I can honestly say I devoured this book quickly and then went back to re-read it several times. What can I say? I developed a crush on Syn from the minute he opened his mouth and that sexy accent came through.

Syn and Petra's story actually began in the novella Eternal Beauty but alas it didn't end on a positive note. Now in Eternal Sin, they both have some big obstacles to overcome, including the fact that Syn willingly had his emotions drained out of him by Petra's father and one of the villains in the series, Cruen and that Petra is now about seven months pregnant with Syn's child. Without his emotions to cloud the situation Syn has become the jerk he always thought he was and so Petra tries to only see him as a necessary food source for her and her unborn baby. There's drama, conflict, humor and of course, passion. The sexual tension between Syn and Petra never fades, it builds and this book doesn't disappoint with the love scenes either. I think Laura's trying to turn her readers into puddles of hormones. I'm not kidding, just when you think the love scenes can't get any hotter she gives this particular reader a whole new reason to sit in front of a fan with ice cubes.

REVIEW:
I have to admit I have loved Synjon since he first walked on the scene. I would have to say that Syn is my second favorite character only to Nicky in the Mark of the Vampire world. But at the end of Eternal Demon I was very worried that my fun loving, teasing, sweet talking, dreamy Brit was lost forever. As I began Eternal Sin I had to remember that someway and somehow Ms. Wright would make everything right. She would wouldn't she????? But oh Synjon is a total unfeeling a$$nut at the beginning of the book. I had to remember that it was not really his fault. But let me tell you Ms. Wright put me through the ringer waiting and waiting and waiting for Syn to stop being will an a$$.
This was a great story in the Mark of the Vampire series. We are introduced a few new characters. We get a bit of a look at love triangle, which I am a little worried about. We learn that the threat to the Order is not gone, but out for vengeance yet again.
If you are a fan of the Mark of the Vampire series you will really enjoy Eternal Sin.

My recap:

Synjon Wise's love was killed by the evil vampire/mad scientist Cruen. Synjon tried to take his own life, but was saved by Petra. Synjon left her after a night of passion, and unknowingly left her pregnant.

Synjon is out for vengeance. In a deal made at the end of ETERNAL DEMON, Synjon has his emotions bled out of him. But he still wants to kill Cruen. Cruen, who is Petra's father.

Not that Petra really knows Cruen. A pureblood vampire, Cruen abandoned her while she was a baby to be raised by shifters in the Rain Forest. Still, she doesn't want Synjon to kill him. She doesn't want anything to do with Synjon and his vengeance.

Until she and the baby need his blood to survive during the pregnancy. They reluctantly form a truce for the baby. But can Syn give up his goal of vengeance for Petra and Little Fangs?

My thoughts:

I've always loved Synjon, ever since we first met him in ETERNAL CAPTIVE. He's had a rough road, culminating in his emotions being removed.

Petra has also always loved Synjon, but she has her eyes wide open now. He has rejected her and the baby. She doesn't want to depend on him, but she has no choice. She's a strong woman who knows what she wants and won't put up with anything less from Synjon.

In spite of Synjon's "lack" of emotions, this is an emotional book. There are some highs, and a very low gut-punch. I love gut-punches. They make the HEA that much better.

Enjoy!

I have to say that Eternal Sin is my favorite book of the Mark of the Vampire series. When Syn was first introduced in a previous book, I wasn't too sure about him. My mind was changed with Eternal Sin. Syn and Petra's story is so full of struggle that we romance readers love. They fight their feelings until they realize they need each other so much. And let's not forget the suspense. We still have our bad guy Cruen who does get his just desserts, but we know he has to come back, right Ms. Wright????
If you love paranormal romances and you haven't started the Mark of the Vampire Series, run and get the books now.
