Useful but overpriced,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ethanol Test Kit. Measures the Amount of Alcohol in the Gas You Buy (Easy to Use) No Chemicals to Buy. Protect Your Engine
I bought one of these ethanol testers for use with my alcohol fuel project. At the last moment I decided to buy just one instead of the 5+ that are needed for my project. That has turned out to be a wise decision.
The seller has provided the product in a timely manner and as advertised (with very few details )and I have no regrets about the order. If the order would have been for any more than one, there would be regrets. Let me be perfectly clear at this point. This item is a glass cylinder with a plastic threaded top with printed graduations and instructions painted on the outer surface. That's all. What makes the item useful? It shows what amounts of each liquid to be added and the resulting graduations shown on the glass. It is indeed chemical free and easy to use. You will most likely only need to buy one however, and use this test kit to calibrate your own cheap glass cylinder with (or without ) a plastic threaded cap. Only buy one. Or look at David Blume's book "Alcohol Can Be a Gas" and look at page 357 which speaks directly to the issue of phase separation, which is the basis in which this tester operates. |
