This is a great cd if you're just entering the world of trance/electronic. Veterans would probably know these tunes. Other cds to check out are ATB - Movin' Melodies, Paul Van Dyk - Out There And Back, Chemical Brothers - Come With Us, Ferry Corsten - Global Trancemissions I & II, Christopher Laurence - United States Of Trance, Perfecto Presents Sandra Collins, DJ Tiesto - Nyana and the various compilation titles like Pure Trance 2 & 3, My Name Is Trance 1 & 2, This is Trance 3.0, etc, etc. Other artists to check are Paul Oakenfold(Ibiza) & BT(Emotional Technology, BT - Ima sucks).

Just getting into Trance. This has a good sampling of some songs you've definately heard before at a club or someplace a DJ has spun in the last 8 months.

Just a well balanced CD with a more "lighter" beat and feel.

This is the best album in Trance that I now own. I bought it for
the names I like: Sasha, Paul van Dyk, ATB and Concept...but then
I heard all these cool new artists I guess like Clubskills, Minister and 64-bit. Melodic Trance is what the cover says and that is ok with me, but I just call it great Trance dance music,
it keeps me awake on those late night drives home from the club.
I mean every track is really awesome and this is rare for CDs.

This is an amazing CD! If you are a fan of trance you will really enjoy this compilation of great artists. The list of people on it flows well and you really can't go wrong with this one. I suggest popping it in the CD player, hitting play and let it play all the way through. I know its a bit dated but I think it still holds up, and is worth the money. Highly recommended. there is also another CD that continues the mix and that is a great CD, definitely check that one out as well. If you were to take a gamble, buy both CD'S at once and you will be pleased with them for sure...enjoy

The swirling pastel colors on the cover couldn't fit this CD's contents any better. I am pleased to report that Ethereal: Melodic Trance delivers just what the name implies... instrumental electronic trance music with a relaxing, atmospheric theme. Every song on this compilation maintains a steady high bpm, but for the most part it does not have the hyper-fast whirling feel of goa or psytrance. Just imagine a half-way point between techno and new age music and you're in the ballpark. Sure, the mixing job could have been better, but this is a pretty good compilation from beginning to end. If you like any type of instrumental electronic music, I recommend picking up Ethereal. It might not have the staying power of other compilations of this type, but it's a great CD to pop in while driving or working.

This CD is awesome! For the connoisseur hunting for the best Melodic Trance, you have found a precious gem! It is mesmerizing! Get it, and also get More Ethereal Melodic Trance. It is equally awesome.

This is now my favorite CD of all time. All the tracks from one through twelve just made the atmosphere so awesome! One of the best trance CD's ever! Once my friends heard it, they started getting into trance, too..

The selection of tracks was good. Some good trance, however, the mixing could have been much better. The music did not flow well together. The mixes were choppy and mostly abrupt. As a professional DJ (both in the U.S. and Europe) for the last 15 years I think this CD warranted a much superior job of mixing. It was good to listen in my car, but not on my decks in the club. In other words you can't pop this in at a party and let it go.

I picked up this CD after reading some of the reviews here, and was kind of disappointed. The tracks on this album a kind of dry and unoriginal, lacking the upbeat energizing atmosphere I was expecting to find. I've heard a number of these songs before, and I was hoping to find them in some new/remixed versions. No such luck.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad compilation, it's just that I picked up a few other dance/trance CDs around the same time, and like them much more than this one. Case in point: Trance Nation America Two, or Paul Van Dyk's "Politics of Dancing".

Very uplifting and feel good music. It's a beat you would play in a car cruising! This CD contains one of the most original sounding songs I've heard in a long time.
