I bought this for our 2 year old cat named Mojo, I gave it to him today and when he was tugging on it, he was dragging me through the house and he was growling! I finally managed to get it away from him and he hissed at me! I found this hilarious, he was doing it out of fun and not in a mean manner.

My kitties seem to prefer the little toys at the end of the stick more than the stick with toy. I unhook the toy part(Simple: they have a convenient little clip that releases them from the springy string). They carry the toy all over and "claim" them by growling with it in their mouth (all in fun/instinct of it all of course), it is adorable. They seem to especially like the little brown one (squirrel? Mouse? who knows)with the pink fuzzy tail. Unfortunately, you don't get to pick the type when you order. Ordering multiples usually ensures we get one of those really fun ones!

The ONLY reason I don't give 5 Stars is that the toys don't really hold up too well. But, honestly, for less than $4 it doesn't really matter. They enjoy them so much even when there is only 1/2 of the toy left. Plus, I think my kitties might be harder than the average cat on toys. I buy these by the 1/2 dozen, they NEVER go to waste. I hope your kitty is lucky enough to get some too! (hey, that's YOU! get them!;)

Our kitten will jump way up into the air to nab this out of the sky! A must purchase to exercise your playful kittens.

We got recieved this toy and immedietly began playing with our cats using it. They loved it. They would trap the toy with this paws and then if I pulled on it it would spring back (the string is "rubbery"). It first broke off the clip (there's a clip atatching the bird to the stick-- I image it's there so you can change the animals). I tied it in a knot the the remaining portion of the string. Within 5 minutes it they broke off the stick. I tied it back on the stick. It came off the stick again. I retied it and repeated this a couple times. Finally I ditched the stick and learned how to the aim the toy away from my fingers so it wouldn't snap back at me when the cats lost hold of the bird.

We have now had this toy for at least six months and the cats LOVE it!!! With a little creavtive design it has by far become our cats FAVORITE toy!!! I was pretty annoyed when it broke so quickly, but we made due and I'm glad we did. Our cat literally tries to open the drawer herself at least once a day to get to the bird. If she cannot get to it, she'll sit in front of the door and cry. I highly recommend this product, just know you will probably have to ditch the "stick" part pretty quickly.

Two active and playful persian kittens destroyed this within 12 hours of opening the package. The string separated from the wand. The cap and glue that holds the string and wand together is very weak.... It was basically impossible to reattach the string to the wand (tried super glue and then duck tape) so I ended up cutting the toy off the string and let the kittens play with that... The toy itself was cute, a little elephant head with a fuchsia feather and a good size for kittens... but i specifically bought this because i wanted a toy that came on a string with a wand. I'm pretty disappointed. For anyone looking for a cat wand toy, i really recommend the Cat Charmer by Cat Dancer - Our kittens love it and have been playing with it for months - and it still is in great shape! I bought the Ethical Feather Boa Toy to alternate with the Cat Charmer, so the kittens wouldn't get bored of the Cat Charmer, but since the Ethical Feather Boa toy fell apart so quickly, the Cat Charmer remains our kittens' #1 favorite toy...

My kitties love this toy. They do try to bit the string so I have to hide it in the toy box when I am not watching them

My cats love these things, and after I got one of them for my alpha cat, she refuses to play with any other toy, leading me to call this "The One True Toy." The bobbing, scratchable, chewable creature with feathers bouncing on an elastic string really gets their attention in a way I've rarely seen.

Unfortunately, the end holding the string is secured with some very weak glue, so it pops off almost immediately upon playing with it. As soon as I get one of these, I pull off the cap holding the string and super-glue the cap back in place. My alpha cat plays pretty hard with these, too, so the rod snaps after a few weeks of use.
