I normally prefer the soft bag carriers. But I figured that the flashlight combo would really make this handy. But the power of the flash is so weak taht it does not really make it useful as a flashlight. Also the bags appear to be really thin and cheap. It was not possible to peal off the tape holding the end of a new roll without tearing a hole into it.

I have other flashlights that I got for night doggie walks that are slightly smaller. They are LED with 9 light points, which give off a lot of light. This flashlight is designed to appear like my other light, which is why thought it would work well. They are of the same shape (a bit larger) and look like they also have several LED lights. However it actually only has 1. The other "lights" are just bubbles in the plastic made to look like additional bulbs.

I gave this one star for the holder. I never got to use the flashlight. It broke the first time. I have to keep the switch pushed up to keep the light lit and it is so weak, you can only see, maybe 6 inches in front of you. Don't waste your money. Just get a regular holder and buy a penlight or something!

Don't waste your money!!!! The bags that come with, fall apart at the seems immediately and after one week the flashlight fell apart. Basic crap. Save your money~~

The light broke in the first week of normal use. The supplied bags tend to split along one particular seam which is no fun considering what we are trying to pick up.

Save your money, please.

The light is about as strong as my iPhone. Its definitely not a flashlight...need to place it very close to the ground to see anything.

This is the best off the shelf hard shell doggie bag dispenser I have used so far.

I'm warning you that the light isn't worth a dime, and I'd go so far as to suggest you disassemble it and throw it away right out of the box. Also, throw away the bags too. They are only going to cause you aggravation and a mess. The first time you drop the dispenser on a hard surface the light will break apart. And the bags have their own problems. HOWEVER! I love that this dispenser has a screw on top. This makes it easy to refill (open/close) but also makes sure that the dispenser isn't falling open during walks. The plastic the shell is made from has held up well over a year with nothing broken. I also like the clip used to attach to a leash. It is fairly easy to switch it to a different leash (or in my case, remove it for obedience classes).

So, if you have hand problems or a weak grip that make dispensers with pressure-fitted tops tricky, try this one. Just don't buy it for the light OR the bags it comes with or you will end up writing a 1 star review.

I bought this for my husband who does the nighttime dog walking. He was always carrying a poop bag and a flashlight. He really likes this alot. I would recommend it for sure!
