3.0 out of 5 stars not much in the US, February 1, 2007

This review is from: The Ethical Travel Guide: Your Passport to Exciting Alternative Holidays (Paperback)
I skimmed through this one in a bookstore, trying to decide between it and Lonely Planet Code Green.

This one definitely seemed to have the advantage in terms of unique and diverse travel ideas. It's longer and fits more ideas into each page.

But it had only one page on ethical travel in the US. At least 65% of it was devoted to Africa and Asia. There must be some ethical travel opportunities that don't require an international flight.

If you're looking for unique ideas and can affford international travel, get this book. But it doesn't have much to offer nearby.

As a side note, the glossier Lonely Planet Code Green, though it has more ideas in the US, is also far from perfect (see my review of that book for more detail).
