Interesting book on an interesting country with great photos throughout. I really enjoyed the history of the country- did you know the first emperor was son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba? There's lots of info on the ancient Aksumite kingdom, the famous churches of Lalibela...up to Haile Selassie and current affairs. Also chapters on the main cities, economy,...

A lot of Information.
This book had a lot information in it. It helped me get a good grade on my project for Ethiopa. It also had some really informational pictures in it, too.

Interesting book on an interesting country with great photos throughout. I really enjoyed the history of the country- did you know the first emperor was son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba? There's lots of info on the ancient Aksumite kingdom, the famous churches of Lalibela...up to Haile Selassie and current affairs. Also chapters on the main cities, economy, lifestyle...there's even a traditional folktale. Although aimed at 9-12 yr olds this is enjoyable for the adult reader too
