Riding Boots,
By
This review is from: Etienne Aigner Women's Venezia Riding Boot (Apparel)
The boots are fabulous; perfect for this time of year. I have the black ones; I'll buy the tobacco-colored ones, too, when they reach the $100.00-ish range. I have a very small calf, but the boots fit snugly. Only thin pants can be worn tucked in. I give them 5 stars (I would return them if they were any less).

I really liked the way the boots look from the photos but when they finally arrived the quality of the leather is not so great. In fact, i'm thinking of returning them... I guess I was expecting a stiffer and more shiny leather from the pictures.

Nothing but compliments,

Two words: Radcliffe denim. Just get one of those skinny jeans from london and pair them with this and my, oh my, it's compliments after compliments. So i wear a 26 in the SW1 skinny high backs and everytime i pair them up with tobacco boots, people stop me. I had a girl who was walking down the street talking on her phone stop and run to ask me where i got these boots. I wore the chocolate/loden ones to urban outfitters and a lady walked up to me and asked if i got at some high end store. I mean everytime i wear it, i have both men and women give me compliments after compliments. I actually saw the chocolate/loden in a catalog and then online and fell in love with it. But after seeing the tobacco at macy's i decided to order both of them online. These boots are comfortable. The toe box is plenty roomy and it runs a little big. If you wear a 7 in nine west pumps, order a 7 in these and you'll have enough room for tights with cushioned socks and still have room to wiggle your toes. They look great with skirts, i had one guy tell me to pair them with leather skirts (what was he thinking?!) but i love them with skinny jeans. A co-worker saw me in them and he says he couldn't recognize me because i look like a model (hello, everyone at work says i look like a model so i don't know what he was thinking)but i guess i look a lot different running around stressed out in my scrubs. So back to the boots. These boots can be your everyday boots, they are stylish enough to use for an after-work-dinner/drinks. I mean i walked 18blocks from mt vernon to the inner harbor, shopped around for 4hrs and walked the same distance back home and i did not have any problems. I usually wait to buy $200 nine west boots at $59 and was hesitant to shelf that much money for these boots but i have no regrets. I don't know what the reviewer was saying about the leather being stiff. The leather is actually soft, (not buttery soft as a new zealand lamb leather you find on cole haan jackets) but it's a helluva lot softer than other high end boots i've seen. Also, i've worn them in the rain and while the leather changes color when wet, it returns to it's original color. The suede ones i have are good when it comes to stains. I spilled some hot apple blast from caribou on these and they clean up easily. Also, it does have good arch support. I'm 5ft7 are about 2"(conservatively speaking) below my knee but they make me look taller. Also, i know they have that little stretch thing where the leather is cut to accomodate bigger calves but i doubt they'll fit people with very wide calves. They might. My calf is about 13" or 3.5 and with skinny jeans, these hug them so i don't look like Puss in boots. I used to hate wearing boots cuz i look like Puss in boots in them but these fit perfect i just love them. The only reason why i give them 4 stars is that, yes i've done a lot of walking in these, but a good part of the sole has rubbed off already. I was expecting to wear them for at least a year before seeing that. Also, these are more like fall boots. They can be worn in the winter, just don't wear them in 6 degree or 15 or even 25 degree kinda temperature. They aren't super warm. I usually wear sweater tights with socks so my feet don't freeze.

These boots are so comfortable, stylish, versatile, and classy. I get so many compliments on them. I wear them with tights and skirts, pants, and they can be dressed up or casual. very easy to keep care of; the suede is durable and clean. I really love them and will get a lot of use out of them this fall and winter.

I first saw this boot in Macy's Dept. Store but they did not have my size. I called every Macy's in New York and New Jersey because I had to have this boot, but I had no luck.I happened to be browsing on the Internet and typed in the designer's name and the boot came up on Amazon.com I was so impressed and delighted because they had my size that I ordered right away and have been happy ever since the boots where delivered. I wore them to work and received nothing but compliments. Thank you

U must try your shoes before buying it,
By
This review is from: Etienne Aigner Women's Venezia Riding Boot (Apparel)
I bought the same pair of shoes from macy but in tobacco color. they dont have a black so i got it in amazon. Same size with the same model. when i got the shoes, the feel of the leather is totally different. the one that i got from amazon, the leather is too stiff and too shiny. The fitting between the feet and the calf is too bulky. its not fitting at all. i learn my lesson from here that u have to try your shoes before buying it even its the same size or same model.
