Editorial Reviews

Review

"If every golfer read this book, it would make the golf professional's job that much easier."
--Harvey Penick, author of Harvey Penick's Little Red Book

"This book is long overdue. Must reading."
--Tom Kite

"Golf Etiquette should be on every golfer's bookshelf."
--Ben Crenshaw

"The first and last word on how properly to behave on and off the golf course."
--Paul Harvey

"In the past I've been known to play 36 and 54 holes a day, and know the meaning of pace of play. This book teaches golfers how to do it: when to walk, when to talk, and how to keep up, how to be a more enjoyable partner. Slow play wouldn't be the problem it's become if everyone read this book."
--Darrell Royal, Member of the National Football Hall of Fame coached the University of Texas Longhorns to 11 Southwest Conference championships, three national titles and 16 bowl appearances.

This is a must book for the beginner to scratch golfer. Given the burgeoning popularity of golf, every golfer should read this book to ensure the heritage and customs are adheared to. From what to wear to when to speak, this book will keep any golfer out of trouble. Small enough to carry on or off the course. A fun and educational read.

Every new golfer (and maybe some who have been playing for awhile, if you know what I mean) should have to read this book. It provides useful tips on how to properly conduct yourself on the course, the club house, and pro shop, so you don't make an a$$ of yourself.

If you don't have an experienced golfer to show you the ropes, this book can do the job!

This book should be mandatory reading for all new golfers. I received an autographed copy of the previous edition when I took a golf class from the author Barbara Puett in Austin, Texas. Now that my son is learning golf, I bought the current edition.

This book is essential reading for golfers of all ages and skill levels. I have been a golfer for over 25 years and wish I would have had this book the whole time. If everyone followed the tips and rules found in Golf Etiquette, the game would more enjoyable to all. I have bought over 10 copies of this book to give as a gifts to people I know that are just getting into golf. Along with Harvey Penick's Little Red Book, this "little green book" is a MUST HAVE!

Half of golf is knowing the rules like who hits first, not walking in front of a player putting line on a green, etc. i have found if you learn the etiquette your 30 handicap doesn't bother any player who knows his/her editquette. You can get lessons galore but you need to know the rules of the course that are so much more than where to drop you ball, penalty strokes etc. Courtesy is underrated these days. An enjoyable round of golf is the perfect example of why it makes life more pleasant.

Great book for golfer- for sure. It is very detailed and instead of about boring technical it is about golf as a manner practice.
