This review is from: Etiquette Survival - Dining and Social Skills for Adults and Teens (DVD)
This DVD is a compilation of 3 of Sue Fox's Videos: Adult Dining and Social Etiquette, Teen Dining and Social Etiquette , and A Place at the Table, as well as an interactive quiz. After embarrassing my self at a fancy restaurant in France, I decided to buy this DVD. It contains some useful basic information about dinning that I wish I knew beforehand. However what was disappointing about this DVD is that the portion for adults was almost exactly the same as the teen portion. It was like watching the same video over again. Almost all of the narration was the same and the same points were covered twice. As for A Place at the Table, it briefly with not much detail explains how to set a table for casual, semi-formal, and formal dining. Unless you are planning a fancy dinner party, you don't need A Place at the Table. Also, proper table setting is already addressed in the Teen and Adult etiquette videos. Another disappointment was a slight defect in the quiz portion of the DVD. I recommend buying one of the VHS versions of either teen or adult etiquette by Sue Fox instead. They are half the price and contain the almost the same information. Don't accidentally embarrass yourself by committing an etiquette crime. Buy one of Sue Fox's etiquette videos just not the DVD.

This is truly basic etiquette for the socially challenged. The information is good and useful as far as it goes, but for the hefty price I expected more material, more situations and more demonstrations. The content and format are the same in the adult and teen sections. The teen actors gave the impression that the lessons were wasted on them... hardly encouragement for a teen viewer.

This dvd is an invaluable tool to myself and my family. It covers a variety of essential etiquette information. As for the teen portion of the dvd, it was more effective for my teen son and daughter to watch the dvd with my husband and myself rather than getting a lecture from us - and we learned plenty as well.Having the quizes at the end of each section not only made it fun but helped us retain what we learned. I thought I already knew about etiquette, however, I have already put much of this dvd's content to use in many social situations. 5 stars to this dvd and its wealth of information.

The video was cleverly done and even a bit entertaining for our presentation. The only criticism from our University students was the short-length of the skirt worn by the instructor. It made all feel uncomfortable.

Great movie for etiquette training for teens. I made up a worksheet to go with it and it gets the point across w/o being stuffy.
