nice emergency light, w limits
the light from cranking starts out very strong, but fades noticeably soon after. i cranked for about 3 mins, n was able to have about 10 mins of useful light.. i was hoping for a longer charge, n better intensity, but for an emergency/ no batteries/ no power situation, this will be invaluable. despite it's shortcomings on longevity of charge, im pleased w the product...

I bought it after hearing it on NPR some years back. I thought I would gift it to my mom in India where power failures are common. The main disadvantage is that if you crank it for 3 mins, the flash light will glow for exactly the same amount of time. Elders can not crank this for extended period of time i.e., more than a couple of minutes. While it is not tough, it is no...

This is not only cool in that you can recharge it manually, but it's also very light-weight and has a super bright bulb with a clear, white-colored light. A must have for any emergency kit.

A good scout is always prepared! And you can never be fully prepared if you are dependent on batteries. This flash light is perfect because you are no longer dependent on batteries. This device will give you bright, powerful light that lasts and lasts. Crank the dynamo for about 90 seconds or so and you will have bright light for about an hour. How long would your batteries last? It is small and light weight. It is well made and durable. It even has a built-in compass. Perfect for any survivalist! I highly recommend this product!
