I (a beginner at the trumpet) am impressed with the quality of the Etude ETR-100 trumpet. All slides and valves moved freely. The instrument looks and sounds good. The included 7c mouthpiece seemed almost equal to the Bach 7c I already had. The case could be better. Be aware that the main tuning slide MUST be completely pushed in for the case to close properly, don't force it! Also, there is basically no padding between the case and the bell of the trumpet. This could lead to a damaged instrument down the road. Not a problem for me (adult) but could be for a child. Overall a good value.

I find that this trumpet is affordable and plays well. It is a good beginner trumpet or in my case a nice trumpet for a musician who loves to play trumpet on the side but not as a main instrument, I would reccommend to any student level child or beginner trumpet, I have played trumpet for 9 years and this is a easy to play trumpet with good sound and just a good first level instrument. The delivery was fast and surprisingly came even earlier then expected.

This instrument is fantastic and my son loves it. He's a beginner so he's efforts are a little rough, but this instrument still sounds great and it was an awesome price for the quality. Plus it arrived several days earlier than expected.

I bought this trumpet to expand my knowledge of instruments. I know how to play the Alto and Tenor Saxophone, so I decided I'd teach myself how to play a trumpet. $175, $200, $300, $400, $500+? That's outrageous! $100 for a BEAUTIFUL, shiny instrument with a wonderful case is just a great deal! I love this trumpet, very easy to play. With the help of the internet, I taught myself how to play notes C to A. It delivered on the first day of estimated shipping date. Amazon stated it was delivered on my front porch and when I went out to check, there she was! Great packaging.

Was looking for a trumpet for my daughter for 6th grade school band.Found this one for 100 bucks and thought what the heck.It came in 3 days with free shipping and was better then I thought. My daughter is happy with it and so am I. The reviews on amazon are a great help when shopping for a product.

The shipping was prompt.Packing of product was secure.The trumpet case seems durable.My son 12 has mastered notes quickly and has enjoyed playing since he opened it as a gift for CHRISTMAS.

Purchased for my son in middle school band. It sounds well & worked fine for a few months but now the valves stick like glue. It does not matter the brand or quantity of valve oil used. Just not built well when it comes to the valve mechanisms. You get what you pay for. Will probably be good for an extra practice instrument to take on vacations or back-up.

We bought this for my son two years ago so we didn't pay high rental fees. I was worried that it would be cheap, but had the middle school band director look at it anyway. He said it was a "fine instrument". When I told him the price, he was amazed....and he's very picky with his instruments. Don't be afraid to get this for a middle schooler. It's worth it as they start out. If your student loves playing it, then spend the money on something more. We are buying another now since his was in the school when the school was flooded. After looking at cleaning costs and new case costs....buying this for $99 was only $10 more! As I said, well worth it!

I bought this item for my 10 year old who began playing trumpet in 4th grade. This is a wonderful student trumpet. It is great my daughter has a trumpet to play at home and practise. I am not an instrument reviewer but I can say this trumpet plays great and looks great too. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Ordered this trumpet for my 5th grade son for beginning band. He loves the trumpet and it plays easily and with good sound. Highly recommend this trumpet for the beginner and you can't beat the price. A rental of this quality would cost at least three times more in a single year. Why rent when you can own your own quality instrument.
