Good for your clothes, good for the planet,
By Eucalan is perfect for washable handknits. It's also great for washing all your delicate clothes: give them a soak, no need to rinse. It saves water and is SO gentle on fabrics. You can use it in the washing machine, which is why I buy this larger size. It's also a good alternative to traditional fabric softener for sheets and towels, leaving them subtly scented and with their absorbency intact. After years of using the original eucalyptus scent, I was delighted to find new products from this Toronto company: unscented, grapefruit, and this gentle lavender, my current favorite. The scents are not overwhelming and come from essential oils, no artificial fragrance. The eucalyptus and lavender have moth-inhibiting properties and that's a very good thing for woolens. Here's a bonus: these scents are flea-inhibiting as well. I've washed my dog in the eucalyptus and been very happy with the outcome; haven't had the heart to wash him in lavender yet, in case the other dogs think ... well, you know, he has an image to maintain out there. Recommended for all the delicate fabrics you treasure. Linda Bulger, 2008

Got sheepskin?,
This review is from: Fine Fabric Wash 17 Oz: Eucalyptus (Kitchen)
Teenager (boy) slept on double sheepskin for several years. Sheepskin shaken out, never washed. Kid off to college, yellowish skin into knit cycle with this soap, cold water, spin but not rinsed. Line dried in shade.
Result? Like new white sheepskin. Soft. Smells good. Ordered large size Eucalan next day. Knit cycle washed sweaters, Navajo rugs, spot cleaned things. Mini-miracle. If my sciatica keeps acting up, I may drink an ounce or so of this stuff. Its that good.

Worked great,
I have a wool 8x10 area rug that was not smelling great after a few weeks of puppy training. I had been using the enzyme cleaners specifically for puppy accidents, but still was not thrilled about the residual odor. I diluted the Eucalan wash with some water in a spray bottle and sprayed every inch of the rug. To my great surprise and happiness, the rug is like new. The colors are brighter and it smells clean (rather than smelling like some perfume is covering up something).

This was my first purchase of Eucalan. I was highly skeptical. The product is easy to use. In fact, it is much easier than traditional hand washing. You can tell it works based on the water when you remove the product. I now use it even on machine washable knits. I recommend it without resevation.

I love this fabric wash. Better than anything for wools. Knitters need to have a bottle of this in their stash. I would and will order again.

This fabric wash is so much nicer than Woolite etc. I love that it uses less water. It says you don't need to rinse, but I like to rinse my nylon stuff (bras etc) just once. For washing wool items it's best not to rinse as there is moth protection!

I'm usually allergic to wool. This wash allows me to wear wool socks without getting a rash. Great for scarves too. The lovely scent remains and it eliminates static! You only need a very small amount. I had a 3oz sample bottle that lasted quite a while. I'm hooked on the product.

I have my baby boy in wool diapers and use this wash to clean his wool/cashmere/angora/mohair diaper covers. It is SO easy and leaves the covers soft and smelling wonderfully for weeks even after use! It takes stains out without having to do anything that is not good for the wool. It even softens scratchier wool types after a good long soak! I highly recommend this product for anyone who loves her/his wool and wants to get the best out of it!

Although the per ounce price is higher than some other brands, this is very concentrated and only need 1 teaspoon per gallon to hand wash several bras or other delicates. Nice scent and softens fabrics.
