Couldn't Put It Down,
By
This review is from: Eucarion (Paperback)
A great medical and political thriller with a military top note. Think of Tom Clancy mixed with Robin Cook or Michael Crichton. Clearly Samlaska put a lot of research into politics, infectious disease, and military medicine before writing this novel--and it shows. Not technical but has just enough technical detail to seem authentic. A Great Read!

EU-phoria!,

I thouroughly enjoyed Samlaska's Eucarion. Being a physician in the military stationed in the South Pacific, the book took on a special meaning for me. Samlaska skillfully interweaves currently used technology and knowledge with future "could be" technology to add a sense of realism to the plot. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an engaging thrill.

Mr. Samlaska provided me with a riveting reading experience. I started this book on Friday and finished it on Sunday morning. Eucarion is a page-turner in the style of one of my favorite authors, Michael Crichton. Curt P. Samlaska shows off his vast knowledge in the areas of science, medicine, and psychology. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book.

Dynamite!!! Dr.Samlaska is a master detonator of explosive plots and subplots. Superb handling of technical and medical details make this book appealing to a variety of readers. The characters are so real, they walk off the page to greet you! Until the sequel,I'll just have to read Eucarion again. Susan Neely RPh.

This review is from: Eucarion (Paperback)
In a world full of instant information, techno-scientific growth, and present global economics, author Curt Samlaska finds a subject from which great books are made. His intent is unwavering. The climatic ending restores faith in us all. If your weary of the copy-cat, pseudo-intellectual, non-imaginative reads, then take a glance at Eucarion. This is the stuff Hollywood makes into a movie. Eucarion is destine for the big screen, just what the doctor ordered!

If you like Tom Clancy, Larry Bond, and Richard Preston, then you will enjoy Eucarion. This is a page turner with many subplots involving the modern military, cutting edge science, geopolitics and great characters. A great first novel from Dr. Samlaska. I can't wait for the next one!

Not being in the medical profession, I was a bit leary of this book, However, after picking it up and starting it, I could not put it down until finished. It seems every chapter has something different going on all over the globe. One dosen't figure out the ending until the last chapter. It is definately an OUTSTANDING read.
