5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for your purse or travel bag, January 13, 2010
This review is from: Eucerin Aquaphor, Healing Ointment, 2 Count, .35-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I was not familiar with this product until I got a cold/flu during a trip around Cape Horn in South America. My nose was completely raw and putting lotion on it just stung without relief. One of my friends on the trip happened to have an extra tube of this and gave it to me. She said it could be used anywhere on the body.

It helped my raw nose tremendously and I could also use it as a chapstick on my lips. Our trip took us around the bottom point of So. America so the windy/cold weather wreaked havoc on my skin in general. This little tube was so handy because I could use it for my chapped hands, lips, nose and feet.

For everyday use, I just keep a tube in my makeup bag and I use it on a daily basis. After it's rubbed in, there's no greasy feeling. (I can put it on my hands --small amount goes a long way -- and pick up a piece of paper without leaving a residue)

I highly recommend this for chapped noses, hands, feet, lips, cheeks and any other dry body part!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute BEST for dry/cracked lips!, August 13, 2011
This review is from: Eucerin Aquaphor, Healing Ointment, 2 Count, .35-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
First off, I'm a guy and have used Acutane twice when I was younger. So having dry skin was an all too common issue.

This product works miracles for dry/cracked lips! It is the only product that gives me smooth, healed, lips in a short period of time. The best is using some right before bed and waking up as if there was never an issue to begin with!

Also, apply sparingly. No need to goop it all over your lips. A little, at least for myself, goes a long way.

5.0 out of 5 stars You've tried the rest, now try the best, your lips will thank you., November 7, 2011
This review is from: Eucerin Aquaphor, Healing Ointment, 2 Count, .35-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I love Eucerin Aquaphor, it's the most effective and hydrating salve I've ever come across. It works great on my lips, which every fall and winter turn into leathery reptilian lips, and Aquaphor helps heal and smooth them. This size is perfect for keeping in your purse or a pocket and should you manage to run it through the wash by accident(as I have many times, shame on me), it doesn't seem to leave much or any residue on clothing. Aquaphor is also great on any sensitive skin areas, not just lips. I was first introduced to this when I had a particularily bad experience healing from a surgery and the incision site was always agitated and sore even after mostly healing. On the negative side, this stuff does tend to wear off a bit fast, but I suspect that's only because the product is a bit light, that is, though it heavily moisturizes, it doesn't make your lips feel gunky or gross and a little goes a long ways. As a woman I tend to like the appeal of all the pretty and colored lip glosses and balms, but they just never work all that well in the end(I know, it's sad ladies). This stuff works great and still manages to give your lips a supple glossy shine if you put a tiny bit extra on. Works great for guys too though and doesn't look at all weird or un-masculine, if you're worried about that sort of thing. It's more effective than Carmex without that terrible, disgusting taste and smell, as it's odorless and tasteless. Since I use only this now, I have saved a ton of money that would otherwise have been spent on trying this or that lipgloss and balm, which in the end was not what I was looking for and just ate up my spending money. These may cost a little bit more than standard chapsticks, etc but they are well worth it, last a long time and don't disappoint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best cure for severly dry lips, April 21, 2011

I have tried vasoline, chapstick, carmex. The aquaphor works the best. I have really dry, chapped lips and this cures it the best. I use it every morning and it lasts for the entire day. Only complaint is that you get 6 tubes from Amazon which lasts so long so I just give the extras to family and friends. Wish you could just buy 1 or 2 tubes for like $3 instead of 6 for $13.

I got this for my cracked hands in the cold months and it was the first thing that ever worked for preventing and healing my chapped skin. The size allows me to have one tube in my purse, another in the office and a third one at home, and doubles nicely as a lip balm. The only downside is that the ointment can feel really greasy when just applied, so you may not want to use your fingertips to rub it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars 6 tubes of awesomeness, January 5, 2012

WOW, this stuff is amazing. It was recommended to my by my dermatologist for dry lips while on a medication that really dries your skin out, and I bought some the other day. I like that it's unscented. I can put it on and it lasts for HOURS - way better than any chapstick-type product I've used.

Since it's winter, my lips get dry and chapped very easily, even peeling if I don't constantly apply chapstick ever hour. But I've been using this stuff only for a few days, MAYBE applying 2-3 times per day and my lips have seen a marked improvement. They're not dry at all anymore, and are no longer peeling! I'm sold on this stuff.

The only thing that works for badly chapped lips. I didn't think it would, but I was wrong. Don't hesitate to buy it.

This is the one item that actually helped improve my baby's skin when he got baby acne. It worked like magic and although his baby acne seem to go away and come back, Aquaphor always helped relieve the dryness of his face quicker than Vaseline and other Petroleum Jelly products. We bought it in travel size so we could easily bring it with us any time we left the house. My son's face has gotten better but his legs have started to get really dry so we're now applying this to his legs.
