This review is from: Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Moisture Lotion SPF 15 1.7 fl oz (51 ml) (Misc.)
I have mild to moderate rosacea. I was doing some research on the internet and came across a web site which was partially sponsored by Eucerin. Since I was already familiar with their fabulous hand lotion I decided to give their Redness Relief line of products a try.
I have been using the Redness Relief Soothing Moisture Lotion for two weeks now in conjunction with twice daily Redness Relief Soothing Cleanser. I can already see a marked difference in the level of redness on my face. I wash my face with the cleanser first, dry the skin and then apply the Moisture Lotion. Do not be concerned by the fact that the product contains only 1.7 fl. ounces. I use a tiny amount (probably smaller than 1/2 a dime) and it completely covers my face. This amount of product will last a long time. I have chosen to use the Redness Relief Soothing Night Creme at bedtime instead of the lotion. Since I have been involved in this reqime for such a short time I don't know whether the Night Creme works any better than the lotion. I wanted to give myself as much chance to change the appearance of my face as possible so I opted to go with the three Redness Relief products. It may turn out to be that just the cleanser and lotion will be enough, with the lotion applied morning and night. I could not find all three of these products at one store (I never did find the Night Creme here) so I chose to order them all at once from Amazon. The service was very quick and the shipping charge was almost the same as my state tax would have been. I do realize that the manufacturer recommends a four week trial to gauge the outcome of the use of these products. I fully intend to continue to use all three on a daily basis and will return here after four weeks to update my information. I hope this has been helpful for you and that you will have the same positive results I have experienced so far. ****April 26, 2008****It's time for a test result update. I have been using this product for over four weeks now and I am honestly amazed at the difference in the red tones of my skin. I do not use any cosmetics (never have) so any redness is right there for all to notice. I would estimate that there has been as much as a 75% change in my complexion. That is a very dramatic change. Remember, I've been using three products by Eucerin for this trial period. I do have a little bit of negative feedback. This lotion, on occasion, makes my face feel oily. It doesn't happen all the time but often enough for me to notice it. I don't know what that can be attributed to but it is noticeable from time to time. Nothing I can't live with, I'm just reporting. Eucerin has a product called Daily Perfecting Lotion which uses "subtle green Color Neutralizers" to counteract the redness. I think that I will try that next time and it may "cover" the redness altogether. Remember, I'm classified as mild to moderate rosacea. I like this product and I know that this, in conjunction with the other two products I have been experimenting with have made a huge difference for me. On the realistic side, when I was outside in 80 degree weather, my face got just as red as always. It did fade much more quickly when I came inside. I had a slight flareup during my month long trial and I had to use my prescription medication. This product does not "heal", it just helps cosmetically.

I'm a 29 year old female. I went to a dermatologist years ago and he told me I had the worst case of Rosacea he had ever seen. I was in my early 20s at the time. He prescribed some sort of "Metro" gel and it didn't work. Since then I've tried different over the counter products in hopes of finding something that could at least somewhat control my burning, bright red, thick skinned cheeks. I was just casually browsing here on Amazon and came across this product, read the reviews and decided to go for it. I am so thrilled I find myself telling everyone about it! I've only been using it for a solid week so far and my skin is back to NORMAL. Let me explain... My rosacea was so horribly bad that people would see me and gasp and say "OMG WHAT'S WRONG??" It became a very embarrassing problem. My cheeks would get so hot to the touch I could feel them burning. Recently, I developed very thick, dry skin with tiny small white heads that can't be popped, along with red bumps and veins (looks something like vericose) starting to show! I tell you... I LOOK NORMAL NOW! I took after my mother with having skin like a china doll until the Roseacea took over and I am now seeing that beautiful, soft, china skin I used to have! I am in complete awe of this product and feel extremely blessed and thankful to have found out about it! If you were suffering as badly as I was, please at least give it a try. I know every person's body is different and it may not work for everyone but it is worth a shot to experience the turn around my facial skin has taken!
Here's exactly what I do: Every day after I clean my face with L'Oreal Hydrafresh Toner (99% alcohol free so it doesn't burn! It's a pink liquid in a bottle.) I apply a dab of the Eucerin Redness Relief Daily Perfection Lotion on any red spots, then after that has been thoroughly rubbed in I apply Pond's Dry Skin Cream (blue jar) all over my face to take care of the dryness. When I say "dab" I mean a very small amount. If you apply too much of the Eucerin it doesn't seem to absorb and leaves green streaks on your cheeks! So you can use this very sparingly and it still works wonders!

I've been wanting to get rid of the redness on my face for a great while now. Coming across this I hoped it would do the trick. & it has! Not only has my redness decreased, but my face is super soft now! I love this product & will buy another one soon. Also a plus that it can be used under makeup!
