5.0 out of 5 stars A new standard has been set
I have heard them all and this indeed is euphoric. It seems to define what trance is really mean to be--to bring the listener to a trance-like state. This is does exceptionally well and the tracks are some of the most melodic I have ever heard. You literally feel like you are on an amazing trip through the Milky Way or at a supreme mist-filled desert rave. My highest...

3.0 out of 5 stars a good eurhoric entry
This, the third in the Euphoria collection, is a good album. But unfortunately fails to lift the listener to the same state of euphoria as the fist two entries. Playing this album load, pumping out those beat heavy european dance tunes is a great experience and I do reccomend this entry to anybody who has already got the first two euphoria's. Maybe instead of "a...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I expected, April 19, 2000

"EUPHORIA" compilation series is a collection of crappy to o.k. to good to awesome songs. I have read a lot of good reviews for this particular volume. I eventually got it and after listening I thought it's not as good as what I read from other people. The first CD has some good traxx and many medioacre traxx. It is more house oriented with trancey tunes. My favorite traxx are "Drifting Away", "Heaven Scent", "Choral reef" etc. The second CD is PHAT. It is totally awesome and almost flawless. Hence I gave four stars. Awesome traxx on the second CD. ...

Let me be brief, If you absloutely have a passion for trance/techno, BUY THIS COMPILATION! I deeply desire this exceptional blend of music, Euphoria-level 3, which is called 'A higher state of' is definitely what it says! It's bang up to date with what's new in Europe and is graciously compiled and mixed for our euphoric hearts and minds. So melodic, it's emotional! Trax like Gee Motion's 'Blue Angel' and Alice Deejay's 'Better off Alone' will make you do some DEEP thinking!

These cuts stay with you. It gets off to a hot start with Faithless. The next four or five songs are all great and will have you moving. I have a hard time putting into words juss how much I have enjoyed this CD. One of the best cuts on either CD is Kinetic 99. The highest praise I can offer is if I could get CD maxi-singles of all the tunes on here on Amazon.com on anywhere else I would. Like the Global Underground CD's but perhaps better in the sense there are more mixes, and interpretations to them I have yet to purchase a bad Euphoria CD(I have 4 of the 5). I think I would give them each five starts but the blue one is prolly the one I play most now.

This is by far the best compilation EVER! This recent set blows away the previous three. From beggining to end, the selections and mixing are uncomparable. Tunes like Faithless' Drifting Away. Planet Perfecto's perfect vocal track. Solar Stone's amazing mix of Matt Darey's classic "From Russia with love" Mauro Picotto's "Lizard. Fragma's "Tocame" Are the true reasons why Trance is becoming such a global force.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just One Of The Best..., May 7, 2005
This review is from: Euphoria: 3 (Audio CD)
If You ask me what trance CD you should get, this will be one of the first to mention. PF project put out one of the greatest Euphoria CD's that telstar has released. This CD is very unique, as it captures the true feeling and moment of it's time, 1999. Today it may sound a bit more commercial, but it truly is captivating. In it's time, many of this tracks are actually rare, VERY rare to find in other Compilations.. blend it in with one of the top notch trance tunes of it's moment.. and you got Euphoria level.3. This CD took me into another level, and everytime I pop it into my CD player, Im reminded of the true experience of what once was trance in it's 1999 golden year.. This CD is a must, hence today I havent found one CD to captivate what this CD has been able to captivate. True Euphoric feeling..

5.0 out of 5 stars Definatly worth the money, August 6, 2000
This review is from: Euphoria: 3 (Audio CD)
This is the best compilation of progressive trance I have ever bought. These songs make me feel as if heaven could be descibed in notes, and love could be sampled as if it were just a song. Out of two cds worth of music, there are only about two songs I dont like. These tracks become the soundtrack to your life. Remember, respect yourself and respect others. PLUR.

This is my favorite cd in the euphoria collection. My favorite tracks are the first three songs on the first disc. These songs are incredible and have been a favorite of mine for years. He rest of the cd is so so, bt my rating is a 5 because the other songs make up for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still amazing to this day, April 17, 2009
This review is from: Euphoria: 3 (Audio CD)
Considering the amount of compilations/mixes that get pumped out--especially with the Euphoria name tacked onto them--why should you bother buying this pricey, old album? I can't speak for the rest of the series as a whole, but this mix is a landmark in electronic music. If you enjoy vocal trance music, you should absolutely get this album. Hell, everyone should get this album. I've used this specific CD set to cause at least 15 of my friends to stop spitting all over "techno"'s bad name. This album is amazing to focus on, so you'll get a lot of practical use out of the nearly 40 tracks while trying to relax in bed, during Yoga, or even keeping yourself driven while working out at the gym, as another user noted. The reasons being? Expert mixing and impeccable song selection. Unlike some of the other, supremely repetitious trance cuts you run into, these tracks are constantly shifting and evolving, with seamless mixing from one song to the next (make sure to rip this album with no gap between tracks!). Right when the gorgeous melody or pulsing rhythm is about to reach the point of sounding 'stale', you'll either find yourself sliding into another track, or the song will morph into something new. I can't rave enough about this album--it practically defines the peak of vocal trance for me. It's an absolute must have album, very rare (I've been trying to find it cheap for 8 years), and this is coming from an avid music collector whose tastes span from post-industrial thrash/crust to Gregorian chants. You won't regret this purchase, and if you do, collectors will be happy to take it off your hands. You can't lose.
