5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, October 6, 1999
This review is from: Euphoria: Ibiza (Audio CD)
This is just an awesome cd. If you're having a party, you can play both of these CDs all night and everyone will be groovin. EVERYONE i've played this for has been asking me about it. Great if u like a trance sound w/out the repetition. By the way, if anyone knows of other cd's or dj's that have this sound, please email me...

5.0 out of 5 stars the best trance cd ever. seriously., June 7, 2002

When I first got into trance a while back, I thought nothing could beat Paul Oakenfold's "Tranceport". I was proven wrong. This mix, the best I've heard thus far from the Euphoria series, is the true epitome of trance. Pure anthems, no filler. Disk1 starts off with Solar Stone's playful "Seven Cities" and moves through your various anthems until it comes up to the exclusive "Wizards Of The Sonic (Matt Darey Mix)" where all of your troubles are washed away. This track is absolutely brilliant, using a soulful vocal sample to intensify the sweet rhythms brought forth from one sweet synth line. A keeper. Towards the middle of the disk, it gets kind of vocal and mysterious, and tops off at the end with some more melodic trance. Disk2 starts off haunting and emotionitive with Chicane's "Saltwater" and moves through some darker corners of trance. It reaches a sonic orgasm as it hits M3's fabulous "Bailamos" which is about as energetic as things can get. The mix moves around and tweaks about before going into Sasha's classic "Xpander", which is not used to it's fullest impact, but works with bringing in a house-ier sound. The last few tracks are hard house, which differs from the previous tracks, but the vibe remains nonetheless. Both disks are great. I really can't say enough about this CD, except don't be afraid to pay a steep import price and BUY.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Cow, Batman!, February 17, 2001

What can I say? This is one of the most moving trance compilations I have ever heard. And believe me folks, I have heard quite a few. It is so fortunate that Amazon.com has this available for purchase, because it is hard to find anywhere else. Believe me, I've looked.

Let's see... how do I describe this track listing? And what do i rate each track? This gets the highest rating on my chart... but I love moving, happy trance... In the same respect though, it is deep in a way too... deep in how it touches you, and never lets go.... I am a huge fan of Paul Oakenfold, and the European sound of trance.... but i must give respect to Matt Darey, cause he mixes these tracks together with the style of Paul, and the fury of Van Dyk... and he keeps you wanting to move... which is good!!!!

Let's sum up.... if you like trance at it's finest, no matter how many times you may have heard these anthems... GET THIS CD!!!! I think I've stressed that enough... now GET DANCIN'!
