This vacuum would be fine if we didn't have a dog. Every time we use it, the dog fur clogs the intake hose. You have to clear it each time you want to use it!

I happend upon this when looking for a new vacuum and thought it sounded good. After all, a vacuum is just a vacuum, right? WRONG! This thing really cleaned my carpet of things that my old one wouldn't dream of picking up. I'm getting loose carpet fiber (the new carpet kind of shedding) on carpet that is 10+ years old! And the sand tracked in on shoes, way down deep that I never knew was there!
First of all being bagless means that you will empty the accumulated dirt-in this case the container- way more often than you would ever change a bag and that means more efficient sucking power. It's not inconvenient like some people said bagless ones are, I see it as very helpful. I changed my bag every couple months because I hated it! Now it's so easy I empty the canister 2-3 times a cleaning spree and always have a "fresh bag". The container is large so I don't have to empty that often but I like to know it's operating at it's best. We don't have dogs or cats, but being somewhat of a clean freak (so I'm told) I really thought my carpet was clean as I vacuum 1-2 times a week because I have little ones playing on it. With this, I vacuumed 3 times in 2 days and each time got alot more stuff. I took it to demonstrate for my grandma and went over her carpet 3 times in a row and was still picking up more stuff each time. I was truly amazed and am anxious to keep on cleaning till I get it all!
The spinduster doesn't work as great as I hoped, but again I'm kinda obsessive about cleaning so I may be expecting too much. It is nice for dusting mini blinds and ceiling fans though. I love the super stretchy hose as my old one was rigid plastic and short! I can't see how it would get clogged like the other reviewer said unless you have a pile of pet hair. But if it does, you know it's doing a great job of picking it up! The vacuum is easy to push (self-propelled I think) and while I was unable to vacuum while pregnant because my old one was hard to push, I could have really used this then!
The dust cup filter is washable and it comes with non-washable HEPA filters but washable ones are available. I researched HEPA and TRUE HEPA information recently looking for an air purifier, and the TRUE HEPA captures more junk in the air than the regular HEPA, and way, way more than the vacuums that claim allergen filtration. The TRUE HEPA filtration is important to me being the picky person I am, and I hope it eliminates the dust stirred up while vacuuming. Also available is a neat "turbo booster" attachment to clean upholstery and furniture. As well as the bare floor attachments. One more thing of interest is the brush attachment that comes with it. It's oblong instead of like most round. I thought "weird" at first, but once I used it, I notice it fits in some narrow areas that the round one won't. Proved handy for me.

Well, I got this Eureka as a gift bacause my wife wants me do more and better housework. When I find the 1-star review above, I think it may the worst one. However, it looks and works prefect when I used it last night. Much powerful than my old one. It takes almost everything in my floor, but no chairs or my baby, of course. Not much noise too. We don't have any pet, that is good for this Eureka.
One thing is not good: it really not easy to clean a bagless vacuum. Anyway, it is not this model's fault.

If you found a better one for this price, hurry up.
It's very quiet and the free duster is very usefull - especially for my airplanes collection. It has a powerfull motor and a sssttrreetttcchhhabbbllle deluxe hose for better cleaning. Only problem its the filter, it's hard to clean. but thats a problem in all paper filter vacuums.

HEPA filter, Bagless, duster, 15 Inches brush roll, Deluxe hose, extra filter replacement - all that for $69.-

The first week this vacumn cleaner worked better than any I'd used before... but it's been down hill since then. The hose is easily blocked if you pick up anything other than fine dust/powder, and even then the twists and turns of the air line to the canister cause jamming and no suction... I have to remove the filter, which clogs up too easily, after I use the vacumn every time and bang outside on something to get the dust out... it's either that or replace it frequently...
Cheap to buy at first but a pain in the ass over time.

This vacuum is awful. Don't even consider it. It has never worked from the day I got it and Amazon would not let me return it because it had been more than 30 days since the purchase date. It spews dust and dirt out all over the place. I had it repaired once (No Warranty was provided for this specific problem) and it stills spews out dirt. I'm putting it in a dumpster this weekend.....

Buying this vacuum was one of the best decisions I ever made. Granted, my old vacuum was horrible, but I expected much less from this Eureka at the price I paid -- plus I got a free spin duster. I have a German Shepherd, and this thing picks up dog hair like a dream. If you use it to pick up pet hair though, use a carpet deoderizer like Arm & Hammer's Pet Fresh. Otherwise, your vacuum cannister will stink when you go to empty it. Also make sure you empty the cannister outdoors to avoid re-releasing a lot of dust, dirt, etc. back into your home. I gave it 4 stars because there's still room for improvement: The on/off switch could be in a more convenient location, the cannister filter can be a chore to clean, and I don't like how the utility hose is transparent (sure it looks cool before the first time you use it but dirt WILL stick to the inside of the hose). Also, I still have not yet received my Eureka manufacturer's rebate, but overall I am more than satisfied with this vacuum.

Works wonderfully, nice and quiet, but on the heavy side. Easy to clean and picks up a ton of dirt.

Couldn't be happier with this vacuum, large cup that doesn't have to be emptied as often as others, strong strong suction, easy to push, came with two spare filters, has a super long cord and the spin duster is really nice. Bought this as a 2nd vacuum to use upstairs and I like this vacuum better than the first one I paid twice as much for.

We got this and have been very happy with it. We have a dog and it picks up hair very well. A great value!
