5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite!
I went through 3 Dustbusters before getting this one, and it has lasted way longer than any other hand vac I've ever owned. The long nozzle is a nice touch for under the kitchen cabinets, sand in the corners of the stroller seat, and for vaccuuming my kids' belly buttons, which they clamor for every time I turn the thing on. Easy to clean, and a good price-- you need...

1.0 out of 5 stars How do I say this nicely...
...DON'T!

I have been very patient with this product. I have had it for weeks, but waited to use it in different environments before 'judging' it. It makes a lot of noise like it's doing work, but when you look (even in direct contact with the rug) the dirt doesn't move. Air just blows out the sides. I feel like I really wasted my money.

I'm told it can't be returned, and that just upsets me.

I bought it primarily for use in my car. Before I got around to my car, I tried it on my rug/carpet - even hard surfaces. I still have to go over with my upright vacuum, hence, it's of no use to me. I have it permanently plugged into the wall behind a chair in my dining area. I'm going to have to move it, because when I see it I get upset.

I finally tried it in my car last weekend, I ended up literally picking up after it. Yes, I cleaned my car by hand. Picked up all the little pieces by hand, which was about 90% of the dirt that was there before I vacuumed. A brush and dust pan will do MUCH MUCH more than this product does. Anybody want to guess how much a brush and dust pan will cost them as opposed to this?

At that price, I wasn't expecting a powerhouse. I just needed something decent to keep my car looking alright, and get into little corners my upright can't. But to have virtually no sucking power, be it $5 or $25 - it's a waste. I'm really, really disappointed. I'll give it one star - for turning on and coming with its own charger.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE, July 9, 2002
By A Customer

I BOUGHT THIS VACUUM BECAUSE IT HAD GOOD REVIEWS, WELL MAYBE I JUST GOT A DUD, BUT MINE DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL. IT'S BRAND NEW AND THE BATTERY DIES DURING THE SMALLEST JOBS. IT STARTS PULSATING AND THEN DIES. I FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS IN CHARGING THE VACUUM, SO IT SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, BUT UNFORTUNATLY IT DOESN'T WORK. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Handi Vacuum, May 27, 2001
This review is from: Eureka 77A Boss Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
This is just an over all vacuum that we have in our house. You just hang it up somewhere in the wall, and when you have a little mess, don't sweat yourself by getting one of those big vacuums. Just take this out and it will suck dirt on carpet, things as big as erasers (not recommended though). And at the end of the day, you just easily remove the plastic bin and suddenly all your vacuuming trash is gone, without buying those annoying bags. And forget about buyign D batteries of so often for your portable vacuum. These have a recharging unit that will recharge the batteries and last you a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of value at a great price, September 7, 2001
This review is from: Eureka 77A Boss Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
You know the sage advice? "Don't buy your wife cleaning equipment." Well, perhaps that isn't true with a "neat freak". I've bought my overly-neat but lovely wife jewlery, trips, clothes, flowers, etc., but I don't think I've ever been "praised" more than for getting her this little handheld vacuum. Literally everytime she uses it she says to me "I love this, thanks again honey". Well, we just bought a two story house and now she wants another one (one for each floor) which is why I'm here.
Enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Discharges in one single use., July 28, 2005
This review is from: Eureka 77A Boss Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
1) DIscharges completely in one single use in the car.
2) Not powerful enough to pick up particles like, a thread that in lying on the mat. Probably bcos, the thread 'sticks' a little more to car mat than a small rock does. Picks up small rocks and other particles perfectly though.
3) Should have had more narrower 'nose'. It is not reaching the space between driver's seat base and the door frame.
But for the price it is avlbl on Amazon, I do not mind living with above small flaws.

We use this item in our boat and it works really well in the many crevices in storage areas where bugs like to collect. It has great suction and the retractable nozzle is a tremendous asset to the cleaning of the boat. Not having to plug it in near water and also not dragging a cord thru the boat helps. I highly recommend this vacuum........Jim

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly designed unit, December 1, 2004

I had no problem with the suction power of this unit. However, it seems that the exhaust points to the side, and slightly forward, so if you don't sneak up on a dust pile carefully, it tends to blow it all away. This, of course, makes the vacuum pretty darn useless.

I tossed mine away after a couple of days.

The suction power of this handheld vac is almost non-existent, it's ok for VERY small pick ups, but barley worth having around.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does the work but not that effective, July 3, 2006
This review is from: Eureka 77A Boss Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
It sure does the work when it is fully charged, but the battery gets discharged in less than 10 min of use and takes a long time to charge fully.
