I love this show, and I am completely disappointed it got cancelled. My boyfriends family got me into it this spring, then one by one I got my family into it too. I wish I would've been able to see the new episodes they were planning, but the ending is justifiable and pleasing considering the time allowed on it.

A few days ago this set was selling on Amazon for about $93. I came back after I deposited my check and now it's $175. Waaay too expensive. The cheapest I found these DVD's are at Wal-Mart. Yes, you have to purchase them individually but you can also receive free site to store or free ship to home (if qualified). Below are the prices of the DVD's online, just to save you time because I know some people won't look or they forget.

Season 1 or: $14.96 (in bundle)
Season 1 HD: $26.96

Season 2 or: $14.96
Season 2 HD: $28.96 (in bundle)

Season 3: $14.96 (in bundle)
Season 3.5: $14.96 (in bundle)
Season 4: $14.96 (in bundle)
Season 4.5: $14.98 (in bundle)
Season 5: $24.32 (in bundle)

The next cheapest website I found them is at Target.

I absolutely love this show, but the price for this bundle ($175) seems really high, and if you purchase all the seasons separately, as this collection says it has in it, the total for all the individuals in the same cart is like $125. so why is this more expensive? It doesn't seem to have any additional content than the sum of all the separate seasons, so why would you spend an extra $50? I recommend just spending the extra 5 minutes or so to add all the separate seasons to your cart and buy them that way.

To those asking about this set it is actually as the image shows. It came in the mail today and contains each individual season packaged separately (7 total). No different than if you just bought each one of the seasons individually along the way. Hope this helps.

The current price for the individual sets is currently approximately $135, so why is the full set priced at $224???

Update, 7/30/2013: After months of the $224 price, the finally did lower it to $130-$135 range. Even then, it's still overpriced. The current prices for the individual series add up to approximately $115. The set is less of a ripoff than before, yet it is still overpriced...

While transporting his juvenile delinquent daughter down back down to Los Angeles after she runs off and winds up on the no-fly list, Deputy US Marshal Jack Carter crashes their car in the little backwater Oregon town of Eureka...which turns out to be a cover for the super-advanced research company Global Dynamics where pretty much every single new technology we've ever used has been developed since Einstein set the place up in 1947. Everybody there from the town handyman to the diner owner to even the dry cleaner has a high IQ and a Ph.D., and they're always having some new experiment or invention completely explode in their faces and threaten the existence of the planet or the space-time continuum that Jack winds up having to clean up when they make him the town sheriff in the wake of one of these incidents nearly killing the former Army Intelligence major who'd been the sheriff before him. It's a steady mix of light comedy and light tension as Jack tries to wrap his head around most of the crazy stuff that keeps happening, such as how even a bank robbery in town means the entire bank building has gone missing and not just its contents, but if nothing else it can inspire younger viewers to look into science careers.

Just got my Complete Set in today and to calm every down this set is in WIDESCREEN. So don't worry every one, these will look great on your TV's. Season 1 & 2 are in standard DVD boxes, while seasons 3 through 5 are in ECO-Friendly boxes. This is a great deal instead of spending around $150 to buy each season by individually or to buy the seasons 1-4 set for $90 off other sites. A must buy for any true Eureka fan.

Eureka is a great show that was unfortunately cut short. Even the worst of Eureka is, in my opinion, still very good. It's funny, charming, and sometimes very strange. But if you're looking at the complete set, you probably know about the show.

The average review comes from the packaging. The later seasons are packaged in "eco-friendly" packaging which is designed to save on materials (And I'm sure cost). The problem is, it's murder on the discs. The spindle portion designed to hold the discs in place is inflexible and makes discs difficult to remove. In theory, that should protect them. In practice, many of my discs were loose. Between my original order and a replacement set, Season 1 is the only set where all the DVDs were unscratched. Some were minor scuffs, but others were bigger ones which impacted playback. I wonder how much material is saved if people have to return multiple, defective copies?

I love this show dearly and am incredibly disappointed by the packaging. As long as these DVDs are done this way, buy at your own risk.

I loved this show. I'm sorry to see it end, but I'm glad the wait wasn't long for the last season on disc. This is literally just a package of all the single season sets, so details regarding wide screen and special features are the same as the product pages for the individual seasons.

Yes, it would be nice if you could purchase the complete series on a deal like the DVDs, but at least you can stream it for free with Prime.
