With the innovative blower port, you can also use it to blow away dirt and debris that pets might track into a garage, basement or workshop. Getting the Best Results
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow. This vacuum cleaner creates suction. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.• To clean bare floors and rugs, attach the wands to the hose handle. Place the floor tool at the end of the wand and extend the wand by pushing the lock button down and pulling on lower wand to reach the desired height level. Adjust to maximum suction by closing the slip ring on the hose handle.
• To clean stairs, upholstery and windows, attach the combination tool, crevice tool or the turbo Power Paw nozzle to the end of the hose. If additional reach is needed, attach the wand on the handle first. Adjust to the minimum suction by opening the slip ring.
• To use the blower port, remove the HEPA filter if needed. Detach the hose from the front of the canister and attach it to the blower port on the back side of the canister.
• If the dust bag or the motor filter becomes clogged, no air can pass through the cleaner and no cleaning can take place regardless of how powerful the canister is. To keep the canister operating at maximum efficiency, change the dustbag frequently and clean the filter as needed.

The Mighty Mite is a decent vacuum cleaner, especially for the money. I've been through 3 vacuums in 2 years, and I know junk when I see it now. And, for the most part, the Mighty Mite isn't junk.
Pros: It is very lightweight, has good reach with the telescoping pole, decent suction, and the pet hair attachment seems to work fine on my sofa and rugs. The HEPA filter is a definite plus and my hope is that the quantity of house dust will be seriously lowered. It is easy to move, but could use a longer cord than 20 ft. Cons: The instructions don't even MENTION the pet hair attachment! The only references are on the box it comes in. The suction is adjusted by a rotating ring on the handle, exactly where you hand goes. So, if you accidentally move it to a more closed position while your hand is there, your skin gets sucked in with it. All the attachments do NOT go on the canister. There is provision for one small attachment and the crevice tool onboard. Everything else has to go elsewhere. Plus there is no easy way to deal with the hoses and telescoping rod. They don't fit together any special way and won't stand up. The power cord winds up underneath the vacuum and the plug should clip on to the cord. But, the clip on the plug doesn't actually fit over the cord. It is too small and too tight and makes indentations deeply into the cord, so you can't really safely use that 'feature'. Sometimes, you have to wonder if the manufacturer ever even tried out the machine themselves. For example, the reason this is lightweight is that it uses incredible flimsy plastic hose. I suspect you could poke a finger through it if you tried hard enough. And, the canister itself is also plastic. That isn't theoretically bad, but what happens is, in a static-y environment, the hair and dust you are trying to get rid of is attracted to the hose and canister! So, you end up with a cleaner house and a vacuum completely covered in hairs and dust. That 'feature' isn't mentioned on the box... Overall, I like this, in spite of all the negatives. Longevity is a bit of concern for the tools and hose, but it has suction, the disposable bag makes for a cleaner house, it is very easy to carry up and down the stairs and has a long enough reach to reach everywhere in my old house. I'm going to keep it...

with 2 new pups in the house our hard wood floors were starting to look like carpets...enter the mighty mite pet lover. works great on hard wood, furniture and on berber carpet. i think its not so great on our area rug but my husband disagrees. its super lightweight and although i bought it to drag aroung i find myself holding the canister cause its so light. make sure you keep the hole in the back of the hose covered for maximum suction and that the attachment is fully on or it'll come off if you're trying to get in under things. would have loved an automatic cord but hey it was less than $100. they just don't make things like they used to. so far so good though its been a couple weeks....we'll see

I bought this as replacement for our 10 year old original Mighty. My husband refused to throw it out even tho it had no wheels, the hose was entirely duct taped, the handle was screwed into the hose and clamped, and you had to talk softly to it to get it to turn on...It was pitiful to see but it still worked and had massive power. I have replaced it with at least 6 different vacuums and each would end up in the closet and he would bring the broken down Mighty from the garage to my dismay. While shopping online I saw the Mighty Max Pet Lover, I did not know the company still made it. Anyway, I decided on the Pet Lover since we have lots of pets and it has a lot more power for just a little more money! My husband was so excited you would have thought I gave him the winning lottery ticket. (I have a husband that likes to vacuum, however that's all the housework he does but I ain't complaining) Well, it lives up to it's reputation and we can't be happier. The furniture attachment for pet hair is awesome. You can't go wrong buying this little gem.....Oh, the other one? He still wouldn't throw it away, it's now the official garage vacuum......
