I purchased this for my small Eureka vacuum after going through several disposable filters. It seems to work just as well, but does not get clogged as quickly, and is easier to clean out. Not to mention that you can rinse it off. It's definitely a no brainer when comparing it to the other filters.

I am very pleased with this filter - it picks up fine dirt particles and dog hair. It is easy to install and remove for cleaning. I'd recommend this products to anyone who has a Eureka upright vacuum.

The one I'm using is wonderful. It's a lot stronger than the original kind of filter. I haven't had to wash it yet, because it cleans up much better. The dirt just doesn't stick to it as much.

It actually improves the suction as well. This is all I will buy for my vaccum from now on.

I love these. They are over $10 for 1 at Wal-Mart and they are not washable and reusable. With money being tight, this is a great bargain if you have a vac that uses these. I really do love Amazon and the companies they interact with.

This little filter does what it says. It gets dirty I use another vacuum to clean it until it seems to get really dirty and then I use a little soap and water in the sink for a brand new filter.

This filter looks like the original but it is just a tiny bit bigger and therefore doesn't fit correctly.
When you put it together for vacuuming it is difficult but when you take it apart for cleaning it creates a huge mess in the process of opening it...that is if you can open it. ...it took two of us the first time.

Average review based on:

1) Received product dissimilar from that shown in the Amazon photo. The noted difference being the base of the received filter has a rubber extension protruding about 1.5-2". This isn't shown in the photo and I purchased with this in mind.

2) Filter surface area is smaller than original and some other replacements. Previous filters I've had have a cone shape (bottom diameter of filter larger than top) providing for more filter surface area. These have the same diameter at the top and bottom and provide obviously less functional filter surface.

That said, it does fit my sweeper (Eureka model 431) and I expect it will function OK.

I've had this vacuum for several years, but maybe they aren't making it anymore because lately I've had trouble finding the filters in store. So I was happy to find it on Amazon.

The original filter that came in my vacuum was identical to this one. But when I bought replacements in the store, it was never quite the same. Rather than being the original cylinder, it was always larger at the end shaped more like a cone when I bought it in store. The cone-shaped filter never fit quite the same and made it more difficult to take the cap off to empty and clean. This replacement is like the original cylinder shape and fits so much better than the store-bought ones! I am so glad I found this and will never again even attempt to purchase replacements in store; I'm getting them here from now on!

The filter works exactly as promised in my six-year-old Eureka vacuum. The suction is back to what I remember when I first bought the machine.
