Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
We were terribly disappointed in the performance of this Eureka RapidClean Pet Vacuum. Rapid must be the time you get per charge. As shown in the review video (I always try and do videos for you) we charged the RapidClean for the full time specified in the book and would always get about 3 minutes of usage. After only about 30 seconds the vacuum would begin to lose suction. We did not expect this to be as powerful as a plugged in model. It is made for portability in mind and simple quick jobs but failed in our opinion.

Quick was the key word in working with this vacuum. Once it started losing power it was pretty useless for even simple tasks. The slightest hair clogs the filter dropping performance more (note that the filter is different than just cleaning and emptying the purple bin area).

See the video for a live suction test and a demo on the time it took to kill the battery. Sorry Eureka, but even the kids were disappointed in using this one for cleaning up simple microfiber couches for cat hair.

"Eureka RapidClean Pet Cordless Handheld Vacuum" works well enough for simple clean-up vac jobs, such as pet hair, food crumbs and dusty curtains, and it isn't too noisy for its size.

Some caveats. The machine is bigger than I would have liked, especially when you factor in the huge rechargeable base it comes with, while the build feels somewhat cheap.

Speaking of rechargeable bases, it can get a bit tricky when attempting to situate the hand-vac in the charger; if you're not careful, you can easily mistake the machine for being plugged in when it's actually not, leading to a dead handheld vac when you need it most. In fact, I suspect that it's this issue which is the culprit for some people's complaints about the machine's poor battery life (hint: always pay attention to whether the blue charging light indicator is active when plugged in).

Furthermore, I find the attachments underwhelming, as I felt they could have been designed to extend a bit further out in order to compensate for the awkward design of its mouth, which is flat and extremely broad; this would make life a lot easier for those looking to minimize the action of bending down when performing floor clean-ups.

Finally, while it peforms OK as a handheld vac, it isn't all that powerful, as this thing can't hold a candle to my corded handheld vac in the power department.

Still, despite all of my caveats, it works well enough, and the price is not unreasonable for what you get. Overall, recommended (with some reservations).

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Such a great vacuum for traveling! I use this a lot for visiting families when I need to quickly clean up before leaving. It has been tested on couches, drapes, steps, car mats/cargo area, air vents, picture frames, lamps and most other hard to reach areas all in one charge with plenty of power to been able to kept going further. It's light, less than 4 pounds and really easy to charge, clean and empty. To empty, remove attachment, then press the grey button on top (next to the power button), the purple portion of the container then slides out and can be dumped. the inside filter can then be cleaned (or not), slide compartment back and continue vacuuming or place it back on the charger. Unless you have multiple animals or have the privilege to own a big-time shedder, one dump is pretty much all you will need to do for most jobs. This model comes with 3 separate attachments, for crevice, dusting and a rotating vacuum brush. Charger can be mounted on the wall or placed upon the floor or table. The brushes fit inside the charger for easy organization. Absolutely prefer this to my full size vacuum any day.

First I must say I received this Eureka RapidClean Pet Cordless Handheld Vacuum, 80A free as part of amazon.com's VINE program witch his designed to create reviews. This vacuum works very well it has a lot of power (suction), and is good for small pickups and touch ups (Dust, Dirt, Pet Hair on furniture Etc.,). Its fantastic for clearing inside the car, no cords to worry about. It comes with a very good rechargeable battery that gives you pretty long use. Also you can mount this on a wall out of the way. I can recommend it.

To begin with, when you get this, it is pretty much already assembled. Only the two attachments (one with a brush one a funnel-like attachment for corners) and the cord are not attached, and the cord is used for recharging, so it's separate anyway. You'll have to charge this for quite a while before it's ready for use. Right of of the box, it won't do much.

But once you've charged it, it works well. Since it's handheld and fairly light, it doesn't have the power of a stand-alone vacuum cleaner, but for its size, it does a good job. I found that it picked up pet pellets (guinea pig and cat food) quite well and sucked up dust bunnies easily. The only down side--and it's a minor complaint--is that the size prevents it from holding much, and it needs to be emptied fairly regularly. Emptying is easy. The purple part in the picture opens up, you remove the filter (which probably needs to be cleaned fairly regularly to maintain power), and dump the contents. Removing the filter and replacing it are two easy tasks. It just slides into place, and I had no difficulties. Recharging is easy, too. It just fits into the plastic stand and charges.

All in all, this is a good little product, and I'm sure I will be using it for quite some time to come.

This vacuum cleaner died 2 weeks ago after only 4 months of use. I called Eureka's customer service center and they promised me that they would send me a replacement. One week later, I did not receive it. I called them back and they said they needed me to send them a copy of the receipt. Ok...why didn't they ask for that in the first place? A week later---2 weeks since I first called them, the rep said that she needs to talk to her supervisor tomorrow and after they call me back, they will probably need me to send them the metal plate off the vacuum for proof of serial number, etc. Why didn't they ask for all of these items in the first place?

Does not have much power, does not hold a charge very long and takes quite a while to recharge. I am very disappointed in this vacuum.

We charged it per the instructions (longer than the minimum required for first use) used it once and were satisfied with the power, features (powered brush head) and the battery life when using. Went to use it a second time and it imploded. The impeller on the motor looked like it cracked and was rubbing the housing making an awful noise and smell. promptly returned to amazon. 5 stars to Amazon, 1 star for this excuse of a product. Amazon should refuse to sell it.
