I have both this tent (Scenic Pass 3XT) and the Apex 2XT. Each are excellent, 3 season tents. I have been a fan of Eureka tents since I started in Boy Scouts in 1979. The Scenic Pass is a lighter weight compared to the Apex series. The poles are smaller and weigh less but I have had no issues with strength. Having been caught in multiple rain showers in the Scenic Pass, the poles have held up well. I did apply seam sealer before using this for the first time. I never buy a tent that needs more than 2 poles to put it up. This tent is less than 5 mins to put up and can be done by 1 person. Each side of this tent has zippered access as well as a vestibule area to store gear. 3 people in this tent with gear inside the tent will not be fun. Utilizing the two vestibules for gear storage will make 3 people in this tent bearable

This tent is pretty good. It is lightweight, so it is good for backpacking. It seems to pretty well constructed. Has ample storage space. My GF and I use it as two-person tent with gear and it is pretty good.

PROS:
-Lightweight
-well constructed
-doesn't leak
-good tent for 2 people plus gear backpacking

CONS:
-a little short for tall people
-condensation forms on insides where the rainfly doesnt cover. Can be quite a bit of condensation. Have been thinking about how to extend to rainfly to solve this problem. Maybe a tarp.

I bought this tent as a secondary tent for trips that required lightweight, easy to set up, inexpensive shelter, for occasional kayaking and backpack trips. It has been through rain, heat, high wind gusts from bands of Tropical storm Isacc. This is my first vestibule type tent, normally I use a Teton sport with the divided room, and a Eureka outfitters type in the past. This is a good price. No tent is perfect, and tropical use adds some other difficulties. I'm 5'10" and read all the reveiws from Amazon, Rei and other large sellers.

Pros:
Appeared to be sewn well. Nice color, design, setup a breeze. Aluminum interlocking poles slim but strong. Clips setup easy. Buy your own quality stakes. Good zippers, no fire ants, gnats etc got in. Fly velcros on poles, and stakes, with guy out points. A few reflective areas help.

High wind resistance. After hours of high gusts, tent was secure. One particularly bad one brought a SINGLE drop of water from the top of the tent. Had the doors material unzipped, leaving mesh only, for ventilation, and with vestibules staked, no water was blown in.Able to let the dogs outside on their leash from under the vestibule, loved that!

Generous dimensions:
30 inch folding kennel, a Luxury Light 74 inch long cot, large cot mat, sleep bag, home sized pillows. large waterproof duffle with clothes, meds, emergency, tiny folding potty, day pack and small boom box INSIDE!
Folded chair, and firewood kept in rear vestibule, and in the front, multiplug gizmo, square fan, cords, shoes, and cooler. I kept food, stove, portable dog bowl for a sink, in back of my vehicle.

Cons:

Hot and damp with some condensation due to the exposed single wall on the sides. Tropical folks will want a fan when vestibules are down.

Another great Eureka tent, this one is advertised for 3 people.

Here are the most notable features:

Double doors and vestibules - a huge advantage when three people are expected to be crawling over each others' business to get in or out of the tent, especially if you are in the center.

Color coded straps for low viz and quick setup.

Ultra lightweight poles (slightly shorter) provides greater "packability" and the setup is very fast. The tent snaps into place using tension clips (no more sliding the poles thru channels). Just be careful not to step on the pole! Also be careful not to damage the clips!

Full rainfly ensures almost absolute dry interior. The only place water can possibly seep in is if you have heavy rain PLUS driving winds, then you **MAY** get a little water if it's driven in under the fly and into the vent windows, but still, not likely.

It has a full gear shelf in the top center of the tent, made of the same mesh material as the door screens, "no see um" mesh. It can hold his n her wallets, keys, 2 cell phones, and a tactical aluminum flashlight, maybe 8-10 lbs easily.

There are little pockets located in 2 places behind the zipper doors, you can stow either the door screens in them, or use them for other cargo.

While the tent CAN fit 3 people side to side, it leaves almost no space for gear, unless you keep it in the vestibule with the fire ants. No, we used this tent for 2, and it was more than enough space, we had 2 backpacks each plus sleeping bags, air mattresses, and still had room to lay out some clothes and our shoes to dry. Very roomy, cool during the day, and offers enough protection in 3 seasons.

Seems durable for what it is, a LIGHTWEIGHT backpacking tent!

when i first got this tent i was a little surprised by its size, i expected it to be a bit bigger. Yet once myself and my boys layed down with all of our gear it became apparent it was more than enough. with the tent fly all of our gear was able to fit within the tent . Where we live the morning fog is very thick so things will get very damp, the rain fly kept it all out (granted i did spray the tent with seam sealer before hand) and where the rain fly didn't cover the material of the tent was damp but we were (and all out stuff) was still dry.

Ventilation was not a problem at all with this tent i was able to open leave open the privacy covers half way open without any problems, i didn't notice any condensation any where within the tent.

Their are 5 tent pockets one awning and than four more within in each corner of the tent, one thing to be aware of is if you live in a very warm area the top of the tent gets very warm so try not to store anything that may melt in the awning since it will heat up.

The tent itself is extremely easy to set up and break down, i did so without the instructions, granted i had my wife their to supervise my progress. The tent itself is light wight as well, so any kind of weight concerns where not a problem for me at all.

The tent bag itself is coming apart at the seams where you stuff everything into i noticed after only one use, but that could be to my mistreating it. I'm a little forceful with stuff bags so they tend to wear, i will probably (or most likely my wife) will probably have to double stitch it up.

All in all i was actually very pleased with the tent itself.
