4.0 out of 5 stars Buy some 63mm metal lids, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Euro Cuisine Set of 8 Glass Jars for Yogurt Maker
Nice jars, lids leak though, which I found out the hard way. Then, looking through my glass jar lid collection I found that a Newman's Own Pasta Sauce lid fit perfectly with no leaking. Then I found a site that showed me that it's a standard type of lid and that I could order them online from Kitchenkrafts.com for $5.25/12 lids. I had to order two sets to cover the the 15 jars I have, or you could eat a lot of pasta. Now everything yogurt related is perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy to Have Extra Jars, March 31, 2007
I've had the Euro Cuisine YM80 Yogurt Maker for about 18 months now and bought a box of the extra jars at the same time. So glad I did!

This has allowed me to a make a new batch of yogurt without waiting to use and clean up the jars from the last batch. It also provides me with spare jars and lids, which is good, because somewhere along the way I lost one of the original lids. Without the extra jars, I would now have a yogurt maker that makes six jars of yummy yogurt, rather than seven.

With respect to the jars themselves, I love that they are glass and not plastic (yech). They clean up well in the dishwasher (best after a presoak) and they could actually be used for other purposes, although I only use them for yogurt.

My only issue with the jars (and why I rated them only 4 stars) is that when I transport the little jars to work with me, they sometimes leak. But aside from this little inconvenience, the jars are great and the machine with which they go is wonderful. I would rate the yogurt maker itself 5 stars...makes the best smooth yogurt ever!

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended !, November 9, 2006
The Euro Cuisine Yogurt Maker is SO FABULOUS you will want the extra jars. So will your family. When you're running low on yogurt, you can make another batch without "waiting" for all the jars in use to be emptied and washed.
Dishwasher safe means much to my family.
Love it!
