Buy some 63mm metal lids,
By de Wong "Derek Wong" (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews

Nice jars, lids leak though, which I found out the hard way. Then, looking through my glass jar lid collection I found that a Newman's Own Pasta Sauce lid fit perfectly with no leaking. Then I found a site that showed me that it's a standard type of lid and that I could order them online from Kitchenkrafts.com for $5.25/12 lids. I had to order two sets to cover the the 15 jars I have, or you could eat a lot of pasta. Now everything yogurt related is perfect.

Handy to Have Extra Jars,
By This has allowed me to a make a new batch of yogurt without waiting to use and clean up the jars from the last batch. It also provides me with spare jars and lids, which is good, because somewhere along the way I lost one of the original lids. Without the extra jars, I would now have a yogurt maker that makes six jars of yummy yogurt, rather than seven. With respect to the jars themselves, I love that they are glass and not plastic (yech). They clean up well in the dishwasher (best after a presoak) and they could actually be used for other purposes, although I only use them for yogurt. My only issue with the jars (and why I rated them only 4 stars) is that when I transport the little jars to work with me, they sometimes leak. But aside from this little inconvenience, the jars are great and the machine with which they go is wonderful. I would rate the yogurt maker itself 5 stars...makes the best smooth yogurt ever!

You don't need a special jar to make yogurt.,

Euro Cuisine jars are ok, though the lids don't screw quite tight. But seriously, you don't need Euro Cuisine jars to prepare yogurt. ANY glass jar will do. Jam jars. Honey jars. Herring jars. I use them all. Your household must go through dozens, if not hundreds, of jars in a year.
Unless you are in desperate need of retail therapy, save your money, save the environment, and reuse a jar you already own.

Wish they didn't leak,

These jars are the same as those that came with the yogurt maker. They're fine, but I wish they didn't leak. I have to be extra-careful to keep my lunch box upright, or the yogurt juice will get all over everything. Still, I knew this before purchasing these, and they work fine. It's nice to have a set of 8, since it gives you a bit of leeway if you break one, or one is still full when you want to make another batch.

Size specifications are inaccurate,

I was excited to get glass jars with screw tops for my Donvier yogurt maker. I know these jars were not specifically designed for the Donvier, but the specifications suggested they would fit. The jars were described as having a 2 inch diameter. Even if the interior (vs. exterior) diameter was 2 inches, the jars would easily have fit in my maker. However, the jars are significantly wider (about 2.5 inch interior diameter) making them too large for my yogurt maker. Bummer!

You can use ANY glass jar that fits into the euro cuisine yogurt maker.
If you want to buy a jar, use Pyrex Storage 7-Cup Round Dish with Dark Blue Plastic Cover, Clear or Pyrex No Leak Lids 7 Cup Round Baking Dish with Plastic Lid. At least you can use those for other things, plus the lids are better, AND they are easier to clean than the little cups. If you don't want to spend any money, then just use some small drink glasses, or old honey jars, or spaghetti jars. Remember, this thing only gets up to 110 degrees max.. any glass container that can stand up to a dishwasher or even a hot summer day will do.

I bought these jars as extras, so I could make a batch of yogurt without having to waiting until all of my other jars were emptied. These little jars are glass but they aren't fragile. If you are making real yogurt, they hold just the correct amount.

These are good strong jars with heavy-duty lids, so they should last a long time!
