Good Basic Thermometer,

Although I'm not a premier yogurt maker (yet), the EuroCuisine thermometer is helping me get it right. I have had several batches of failed yogurt because I either killed my culture with too much heat or I let it cool too much, never getting the temperature up while it incubated. If you have less than perfect eyesight, you may want to look for something with bigger print as the font size of this one is just barely readable. There are clear markings in red & green to indicate the temperature not to exceed & the temperature for adding your culture, respectively. The clip is adjustable to the depth of your particular saucepan. I like the red plastic storage sleeve; makes it easy to spot in the drawer. Overall an acceptable basic thermometer. One star deduction for font size.

Nifty little thing,

Decent quality, works very well, and well design clip. Easy to attach to pot and there is room for height adjustment. All in all, very satisfied with this product.

quite a step up!,

I bought a digital thermometer for making yogurt a year or so ago(for about $20), and was constantly annoyed by the fact that I had to hold on to it in the pot.
The simple addition of a hook to hold the thermometer on the pot has made a huge difference. Though the numbers are a little hard to read, the dial is marked with maximum and minimum temp markers so it's not really necessary to see the exact number as long as you reach the marked zone. It's easy and cheap. Recommended!

Works great but display is just a bit too small, not easy to read,

I like this thermometer but the display is very small. I can't easily read the degrees in numbers but there is a red mark at 180 degrees and a green mark at approx. 110 degrees that is easier to see. It clips to the side of the pan and is adjustable in regard to raising it or lowering it when using different sized pans. Basically, it is just like a latte thermometer in size but it has the special green and red marks specific to yogurt making. I have gotten used to the small display and overall, I really do like this thermometer. If the display were just a bit larger, I would give it 5 stars.

I just wrote an extensive review of another yogurt thermometer. I like this one better because it has a red cover for the part of the thermometer that goes into the milk. This thermometer is practically the same as the other one. I like them both. I say buy one of each, one to monitor your milk temp and the other to monitor your bath water temp.

I bought this to monitor the temperature of milk when making yogurt. The clip attaches easily to the side of the pan but the display is very small. It does give an accurate temperature but I would buy one with a larger display.
