5.0 out of 5 stars Super sewing machine...
This machine does everything i tried very well. It is a nice design with easy to use features, comes with a lot of extra feet and for a beginner like me it is great. I didn't want a basic machine, even if i did not know much about sewing. However, the brochure that comes with it is not very helpful sometimes. For example it doesn't say how to use the twin needle; i got...

I suppose this could happen with any make and model, but my machine quickly began to jam, almost breaking the needle. After I researched the problem, and making sure everything was set up correctly, all to no avail, I called tech support. The man was very helpful, and we went through the process of mounting the bobbin correctly. The problem seemed to be solved, and I joked that as soon as we got off the phone it would start up again.

And that's exactly what happened. After about 3 inches of stiching, the machine jammed once again. The tech had told me that if making sure the bobbin was mounted correctly didn't solve the problem, the machine's needle-bobbin carriage timing needed adjustment. At this point I decided to return the machine.

I give EuroPro high marks for having an accessible customer support line, and a friendly rep. The machine itself was more "manual" than I had anticipated - no auto threading, etc. I liked the hard case, but the detachable work deck didn't line up well when it was installed.

I think in my case I need to go up to a computerized model for a little more money. I'm now considering a Brother and a Singer. The thing that keeps me from the Brother, though, is there is no telephone support number, AFAICS. It's either use email or bring the machine in. If I have the kind of problem I just had, I can see this becoming a multi-day, affair.

Dealing with Amazon was good. The machine came quickly, and returning a defective unit is about as painless as one could expect it to be.

So I'm happy for all the rave reviews here - and I place a lot of weight on user reviews - but in my case it didn't work out this time.

Happy sewing! Put a lot of love into it, and may you get rich rewards from it.

The decorative stiches are great, you have pretty nice range to get creative.

I starting using my new Euro-pro as soon as I received it. It was very easy to set up; and it is very easy to operate. It sews the very finest fabrics as well as the thicker fabrics with ease. I am very happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Machine!!, April 2, 2005
This review is from: Euro-Pro 7500XH Craft N'Sew (Kitchen)
I just got this machine this week. [...] I have done things with this machine that I was never able to do with my 30+ year old machine. It was so easy to just wind a bobbin and start sewing. There are so many different stitch functions I need to learn what they all do but what a fun thing to learn. I am so thrilled with this machine. It is so simple to change presser feet, wind a bobbin or switch stitches. It is a great machine!! [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars a good quality machine, August 29, 2005

I purchased this machine based on the reviews and hoped for the best. The reviews are accurate, it's a great machine! I didn't realize how bad my other sewing machine was until I started sewing with the Europro. (It's a shame because I paid twice as much for the other one.) The Europro sews smoothly and the manual is very user friendly. Plus all the accessories makes this a super deal. Don't pass this up, it definitely worth it.

My wife is an avid sewer. She makes pillows, curtains, bed spreads, etc... She made a comment a few months back about wanting a new machine. I bought her this one even though I know nothing about sewing and she loves it. It is light and easy to use. My wife recommends it.

I wanted a machine that could handle thick upholstery fabric, and the Euro-Pro proved itself without me having to even use it! When I pulled the unit out of its box, I found that as part of the quality assurance process, a tester at Euro-Pro had sewed some fabric and had left it in the machine to prove that it worked OK. They had sewn various stitches through four layers of thin cotton shirt fabric. Then, they had sewn eight(!) layers of denim on top of the four layers of shirt fabric. Easily a quarter-inch of fabric in total. I was impressed before even plugging it in.

I just spent a couple of hours putting the machine through its paces, and it's solid, smooth, and quiet. No adjustments necessary so far. It comes with a whole bunch of different feet for doing zippers, buttons, quilting, piping, etc. I'm particularly impressed with the base plate under the foot: it has finely-machined ruler marks for hems, not cheap stamped metal. The fabric feed tracks nice and straight in both forward and reverse.

Minor complaint is the instruction guide. You know that any instruction guide written in 3 languages can't be all that great. If you're new to sewing like me, you'll want to get one of the many good sewing books out there to walk you through the basics.

I'm not a pro tailor, but bottom line, I'd confidently recommend the Euro-Pro to anyone who asks.

I bought this sewing machine because I needed to do some simple sewing projects. I found the machine to be very useful and if you actually READ the directions, it'll amaze you! It has so many cool stitches to choose from and it has a handy little storage case built into the arm. It's is "sew" simple to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little machine, December 24, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Euro-Pro 7500XH Craft N'Sew (Kitchen)
I bought this machine from Amazon a little over two years ago and have not had any problems that I was unable to correct in that time. This winter this little machine and I spent a great deal of time together and it put together very nicely 9 quilts and many other items. I even quilted the smaller items on it. It will sew through multiple layers. If you can get it in the space with the needle and pressure foot then you can sew it. It is a little slippery with embroidery thread but if you adjust the pressures you can still use it nicely. I found the book to be adequate for almost all of the machine. I have found with time that if you take the time to really digest the manual and try each item listed you will be able to do the required sewing with no problem. Only when you try to do things without reading the proper way, causes -problems. I just bought a second Euro pro with computer and more bells and whistles. The one I have works just fine but I decided as much sewing as I was doing I should switch between two machines. I recommend this completely and don't understand why the woman wanting to make quilts should have any problem. With any machine there are chances of lemons, and maybe I just got a good one but I am sticking with it.
