A powerful convection toaster oven, the 1,500-watt Bravetti Platinum Pro from Euro-Pro can do everything from warm croissants to grill a pork loin. The unit features a simple control panel with a power light and separate dials for temperature, function, and time. The temperature control ranges from 180 to 450 degrees F, while the function dial provides a choice of keep warm, broil, bake, toast, or grill. The 15-minute timer includes a printed toasting guide and comes with a stay-on option. The oven’s design incorporates thermostatic temperature control with lower and upper elements, for thorough and precise heating. The convection system--automatic on the broil, bake, and toast settings--gently circulates air in the oven for moister food, quicker cooking, and less energy consumption. Moderately roomy, the oven toasts six slices at a time and accommodates bakeware up to 9 inches long. Both cookie sheets can be used simultaneously. The oven features stainless-steel housing and a tempered safety-glass door, which is curved for better viewing. The interior is coated with a self-cleaning surface, and the stay-cool plastic handle is comfortable and wide. Accessories include a drip pan, two baking racks, a crumb tray, a rack handle, two cookie sheets, and a broiler rack. I purchased this Euro-pro convection toaster oven July 2002 hoping it would offer superior cooking quality. Unfortunately I was badly disappointed. In addition there is no customer service - website down (six months), telephone always busy.

My problems with this unit now include noisy, defective fan, oven door does not close properly leaking warm air and no customer service. In addition to this the product does a very poor job of cooking food as the heat is not distributed evenly (possibly due to defective fan) and the cooking time is not appreciably less than a regular oven.

My experience with Euro-pro is "great specs on paper, poor performance of products". I am very disappointed with Euro-pro as a company and this product in particular. I can not afford the shipping to send the product back to them in New York state. If I could I would tell them to keep it....

I bought the Euro-Pro convection toaster oven because it was available and a lot less expensive than the competitors. I have never owned a convection oven before, and I find this one to be just a little faster for overall cooking than prior toaster-ovens. I like it for its ease of use, multiple cooking surfaces and ease of cleaning. The 15 minute limit for timed cooking is too low for many items but I work around that. Toast takes too long, but I have a regular toaster. I was hoping the "convection" part of the oven would mean faster cooking times, but I see little difference between this oven and my conventional gas stove. Well, you get what you pay for, and what I got met my expectations.

Customer service is non-existent, HSN is unhelpful, as is the warranty company that HSN used for the extended warranty. My wife never uses it and I've used it about 5 times when suddenly the knob cracked and fell off. Contacting several customer service people from HSN, Europro (who never answers their calls), and the warranty company who will fight you for hours until you just say screw it were useless. No websites to help, no replacement parts available. HSN should be ashamed to sell junk like this. Buy something else!
