I was't sure whether I wanted a hand mixer or a stand mixer, so I decided to try this one. I love it!

The bowl and the beaters both move and can both be set to different speeds. It comes with beaters, dough hooks, a stainless steel bowl with lid, a plastic bowl (without lid) and a spatula (more than I thought I was getting). The beaters are off to the side of the bowl, which makes adding ingredients really easy. It is strong enough to handle the very stiff cookie dough I made in stand mode. It fits very comfortably in my hand when I use it manually.

It converts from stand to hand in about 10 seconds, which is great when you decide you need to keep a closer eye on the whipped cream to get it just right. Talking about whipped cream, I loved being able to chill the steel bowl, whip the cream in the cold bowl and put the bowl back in the fridge after putting the lid on it.

This thing was a joy to work with during the Holiday baking season!

Two minor drawbacks: In stand mode the beaters should be about a millimeter closer to the bowl, when you only have one or two eggs in there it doesn't quite 'get it' unless you press down on the mixer. Or beat the egg in 'hand' mode, to hurry things up. It is also fairly noisy, especially when both the bowl and beaters are going, but I've never had a quiet mixer, to tell the truth.

The mixing bowl is not huge, you won't be mixing three boxes of cake mix at a time without things getting messy (I'm pretty sure it could handle two, though). It's just not a kazillion quart Kitchen Aid bowl. But then again, it's only about a fifth of the price of a Kitchen Aid, and that, I think, is very good value! Besides, this one fits in my kitchen cabinet much better.

I was looking to substitute a heavy stand mixer by something lighter which I can easily remove from the counter after finishing with it.
It is sturdily built, insert and removal of beaters, changing from stand to hand mode are all very easy.
However, it doesn't mix well in the stand mode. The beaters are small and don't reach the bottom of the bowl.
Mixing is not even and batter is separated into the side of the bowl, while the center is left untouched. To achieve a thorough mixing I have to continuously help it a long with a spatula, or change to the hand held mode.

Very good looking. LOVED it at first, but am now on my 4th set of beaters. Either they bent or just busted while mixing stiff dough. No its not me, I had a hand mixer for 25 years and NEVER had one problem!!! I hate to get a different one because I LOVE the looks of this one. But it is time to give up, so sad in Oregon.

Best buy....compact, bowl turns and it holds alot and takes up very little counter space.

Im a baker and my mixer died on chrismas eve. Thank God I was done with my bakeing. Ive always had a hand mixer. My husband Matthew looked around on the internet and found this Euro-Pro. It is excellent I still use the hand mixer but I also love the standup. However im still getting used to it because i never used one before. I am a happy baker now.

I bought the Euro-Pro EP585R 10-Speed Pro Stand Mixer with Rotating Bowl for my wife. She used it one time with no problem. She tried to use it the second time and the bowl would spin but the beaters would not. Called the 800 number provided for support. I was told to ship it back at my expense, send a check for return shipping, and give the company 6 ~ 8 weeks to make the repairs. Obviously cheap components out of the box, but thought we could live with it for the price $59. Most expensive cake I'v ever eaten. Don't make the same mistake, it's just not worth the cost.

I love this mixer and I haven't stopped baking since I received this mixer. I'm not in a position to afford a Kitchen Aid mixer for about $200 dollars at this point in my life. I saw this mixer and decided I would like to give it a go. I think I almost prefer it over to a Kitchen Aid because it is a bit smaller and it fits really well in my kitchen. It is a work horse, I love that the beaters are over to the side so it make adding ingredients much easier. I love the double dough hooks, and I love the fact that you can use it as a hand mixer too. It has made me want to bake and try all those recipes that I never got around to yet because I didn't feel like standing there and holding the beaters all the time. I am so glad I bought this lil mixer. I hope you will like it too.

Got this because my mom wanted a stand mixer for Christmas. Was a little concerned because I wasn't sure of the bowl size and other features. As it turned out, the bowl size is bigger than I expected (about 4 qts I think) and the mixer itself detaches and can be used as a hand mixer. My mom loved it! She is 79 and can't stand for long or use her hands for a long time, so it was perfect for her.

This mixer is really awesome. I have used this over the holidays. The only issue I have is that it does not mix items at the bottom of the bowl. I have to scrape the very bottom to ensure all my ingredients are truly mixed.

Euro-Pro EP585R 10-Speed Pro Stand Mixer with Rotating Bowl, Red A great little mixer, much more powerful than it looks. Have used it for all my Christmas baking and it is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to take apart and store. I definitely recommend this appliance, esp. for a small kitchen
